Good course for the intermediate golfer
This is a nice course, the conditions are very good for average golfers. The fairways are comfortably wide and there are no hazards to speak of, ie; no water, no real thick stuff or woods for most of the course. There's only a few holes where you could lose a ball, if you tried.
It's all in the approach shots
Very good conditions, tees, greens, fairways and rough.
You must be in the right position to have any chance at making par. The Gordon's, Father and Son team, make green complexes that keep it interesting and fun to play. Food in the clubhouse was good too. Bunkers need some sand.
great course
Steal of a deal on Golf Now. Course was in great shape and pace of play was awesome. Drove 1.25 hours to play and was well worth it.
Lots of Fun
Had a great day on the links at Bethlehem Monocacy with my father. Second time there and each time booked thru GolfNow. Prices great, course conditions spectacular. Just wish my play and scores per hole were better. But great time, highly recommended course to play.
Ed The Indian plays Bethlehem Municipal golf course frequently
Bethlehem and surrounding areas have been under drought conditions for the months of July and August.. The "Bethlehem Municipal Golf Course" is in excellent condition thanks to the great job the staff is performing.
Beautiful course for Lehigh Valley.
Easy to get to, nice people, pretty course, enjoyable to say the least!
Great condition but slow
The course was in excellent condition. Greens were fast and true. Bunkers were not great but consistent throughout the course. Fairways and rough were in good shape overall. Tees could use a bit of attention as there were broken tees and tees left in the ground making it difficult on most holes to tee off without clearing a spot first. The hot dog at the turn were the most vile waste of food like substance ever produced. The crew were turning sprinklers on and of randomly and kept driving up and down fairways with no regard for the players around them. Very little water provided on the course and we didn't see the beverage cart until the 14th hole when we were told that they were done for the day. Not acceptable for an 87* day. There were singles walking the course and carrying their bag all over and the pace of play was slow. There seemed to be a ranger driving by periodically but not doing anything about the constant wait. Overall, the quality of the care for the course has increased but the amenities, pace of play and staff suffered since I played here last.
nice course,long
slow pace. it took 5 hrs. to play 18. sand bunkers were not that great. over all the course was ok
Good conditioned but slow play
The pace of play was pretty slow as there were people in the course who shouldn't be there and don't know proper golf etiquette. Course was in overall good shape if you don't mind waiting around all day.
Great Public/Municipal Course
This course is very well maintained and pleasant to play. Although there are no "signature" holes or water carries on the course, there are changes in elevation, some greenside bunkers, and doglegs. All par threes are longish.
Great deal for a Saturday
It was a great course had a good pace going until we realized they were putting people off the front and the back.
Watch your knees!
Overall the course was nice. I was not impressed with the guy at the front desk didn't say a word to me, like treating us like outsiders. I also tripped and fell over a huge ground hog hole on the back 9( somewhere after 13)
Just becareful of the bumps and holes with the cart, but overall the grass was green!!
Slow play - nice course
Went late afternoon assuming a quick round. Decided to play front nine twice because pace was so slow going into turn.
I'll do it again
First time here. The course was in good condition. Some of the bunkers could use some work (or a little more sand). The pace of play was fair. I started as a single but let a group behind me join up because I was waiting on every tee and there was nowhere to go.
Nice geens
Nice condition other then the traps. Traps need more sand
Good for beginner's
It was ok for the deal we got on Golf Now. Greens were in rough shape, making a putt was left up to luck not skill. Straight forward course, no thrills. Good course for beginners. I would not return if I had to pay the regular rates. Getting a dog at the turn took forever and the girl taking care of my group seemed disinterested. The pace of play was very good. There are better tracks in the area.
Great consistency
This course is consistently in great shape. Year after year, I always know what I'm getting when I play here. There are some nice long holes that require a longer than average second shot. It has a very open layout with very few hazards but it's still not an easy course to shoot low on.
