No-No, Senior.
If you drive the ball 250 yards, or more, you will use different clubs. We are seniors, and our drives are 220, which made course play long, from the white tees.
Usually great round of golf, but not today
I always enjoy playing at Bethlehem Golf Club. We got our tee time on Golfnow for a good price. Front nine was great, but when we made the turn there was a league of about eight foursomes ahead of us waiting to tee off. We asked the starter to let us play through because we were in the middle of our round and not involved with the league. He would not let us, causing about an hour long wait to tee off. Bottom line, its unethical to knowingly sell tee times to customers who are unaware that a league will be starting their round on the back causing an hour long wait to tee off on the back nine. So be careful if you're making an afternoon tee time.
Open Spaces but many trees
Great deal for $21 on a Saturday. Friendly staff, challenging course, well maintained makes this course enjoyable. Must bring a punch shot since trees are every where.
Needs a Cart Ranger to enforce slow play!!!!!!!!
Another twosome we played with expected to move faster. What is a "Cart Ranger?" Another golf course I played had the "Cart Ranger" Video Camera System on their carts linked to the Main Pro Shop monitored by the staff on Computer Monitors linked to all 18 holes. Groups were asked to speed up play directly to their golf cart directly from the Pro shop. It was refreshing to know the Staff was actually doing their job as opposed to other Golf Courses where the staff was watching the PGA Tour on TV and doing nothing to speed up golf on their own golf course. It appears to me that if you don't improve a product & you raise the Prices, you'll be out of business. Instead of telling golfers they must play 9 because the staff doesn't earn their money, try telling golfers they can play 18 in the time it takes to play 9 on other courses. I've played this golf course 40 years ago when there was a " Ranger " who rode the fairways on a golf cart with big Red letters marked Ranger. You were asked to speed up play even if you were slightly out of position. Sadly, since then golf there has regressed & greens fees have quadroupled.
Greens in Good Shape and Finally Rolled a Litttle
Course is in Good Shape for a Muni course. Not too hard and not too easy. Greens are in very nice condition and now are finally running a little quicker.
Great course to walk.
Course was in good condition
I have not played this course in a while and was pleasantly surprised with the good conditions.
No bare spots, good green conditions. I liked the old red-blue-white pin location system better, but lots of other courses have the pin-placement-of-the-day numbers. Overall a good experience.
Worth drive to play
Impressed by conditions, course is long and fairly straight forward to play. No gimmick holes also no memorable holes either.
nice course, will definitely come back
Our tee time was 6:48am and I checked in at 6:40am and gave the starter our ticket. We waited like 5 mins then we tee off. The foursome ahead of us were playing so slow the starter thought we were playing slow so he told us to speed up. The fairway and green were well kept for a public course. It took us alittle over 4 hrs to finish if it was not for foursome ahead of us we would finish in 3:30mins.
Everything but water
This course is a great value with the golfnow discount; however, with a twighlight rate of 24.50 after 3pm for NINE holes...it's a lot pricier than most other courses. In fairness, it is a LONG course and offers challengers many types of hazards and hurdles...everything except water (although the bunkers tend to hold plenty of water routinely).
Aside from the costliness and the wet bunkers, the course is excellent and long!
excellent condition
Golfer friendly. Didn't lose one ball. Greens have subtle breaks but in great shape. Best course I played this year.
Didn't loose a single ball!
I'm not the best golfer but i do like the wide open layout of each hole. its a Great course! would never think it was a municipal one.
Good Conditions
The course was in beautiful shape. Some of the greens had been aerated about two weeks prior and were still pretty bumpy.
The only negative about the course is that the fairways are EXTREMELY bumpy. Just riding in the cart was a struggle. However, the rest of the experience was positive.
Good course for the price
Not very challenging but well maintained and scenic. And a very good value
bethlehem muni course
the best muni course i have played, green were nice, and fast, a very nice layout, well worth the long drive from philly, i will return many times!
Greens are nice
I thought the course was in great shape considering all the moisture we have had recently. The greens rolled nicely.
Great course for a Municipal
This course was in Great shape, had an interesting layout. The greens were not flat and were fast, some tough pin placements. Over all this was a Very Nice Golf Course.
Very good muni course
Good course, great value, greens in excellent conditions, pace a little slow, but Sun PM on really nice day after weeks of humid and 90, not surprised
Enjoyable golf course. Eager to return !!
Well maintained. Greens and Fairways in wonderful condition. Rolling hills with frequent elevation changes. Course yardage is fair to all levels. Staff is welcoming. Pleasant dining experience available on premises.
Very enjoyable
Although it was close to 100 degrees, there was a slight breeze and the pace of play was excellent. The course was well maintained and we only paid $37 with carts. It's very challenging from the tips but we played it at about 6700yds which was plenty for our handicaps(5-21). We'll probably go back every year, even though it's more than an hour away from our homes in New Jersey. Definitely worth the trip.
