Pro shop guy was very rude
The person at the pro shop is very rude . And not just on occasion but multiple times. He has no business being in a position that has to deal with people. Maybe he should find another job. I don’t tolerate foolishness and won’t hurry back here to play again. I like to spend my time and money where I feel welcomed and comfortable. I was in a bad mood for the whole round because of him !
The starter is a bit of a curmudgeon. Top 3 course in berks county no question about it.
Nice track especially for end of November
Slight frost delay, but course was in great shape for end of season would definitely recommend be great if clubhouse finally gets finished
A work in progress
The greens were in great shape. Tee boxes were ok. The rough was extremely long. The cart paths were dreadful.
Due to extensive renovations the amenities are nonexistent. I believe in a year or two this could be a wonderful course again, just be prepared for a less than stellar experience in the meantime.
same old same old
people told me that this course was making improvements... they lied! greens in rough shape... fairways uncut... bunkers are a joke! clearly this woyld be better ad a development of homes
Ill be back
After driving for almost an hour, I was greeted by a partially finished club house, and a pro shop residing in a trailer. I thought, oh boy, the conditions probably aren’t the best. I was immediately greeted by the starter in a cart. He helped me with my bag , and after some pleasantries, I informed him it was my first time playing the course. He explained the layout and parts of the course to avoid, instructed me to check in inside the trailer. I was greeted by a friendly lady, who was also extremely helpful. The “pro shop” had food for the turn, cold sandwiches, chips the usual. I rolled up to the first tee, which was next to the practice green, rolled a few balls, then started my round. I really enjoyed the layout, I felt the holes were challenging, some of the shorter holes had well placed hazards. I would recommend this course to any player. As with all courses in the area, this time of year, there were areas in the fairway you need to move your ball, but overall I though the conditions were very good
Nice course
Course conditions are fantastic! One thing I did notice that I'm not a fan of is the teeing areas are not level.
A little bit on the short side as many holes are 330 to 370 yrds and straight ahead. The layout is a little on the boring side. It does not seem like it would be rated as a 130 Plus on the slope. Seems more like a 124 to a 126. Its a good course for beginners. I hope I don't seem like I'm knocking it too much because it is a good course. Just not my style...
Greens Great; rough high
Sand traps need sand, rough needs cutting. Fairways great, greens fantastic.
Highly recommended
Although it has been a very wet spring the course is in outstanding condition. Greens are moderate to fast and roll very true. Rough is thick enough to punish wayward shots. General Manager Beth is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Off course amenities are sparse, but I am there to play golf not to eat or get married. Overall, a terrific day of golf course and 5* value for the money. Will be back again soon.
Fantastic course
Course was in great shape - same as always. Clubhouse is undergoing some major renovations. No sit down/quick food service or bar available at this time. A small modular building just off of first tee where you pay. No amenities - I mean none - available at this time. There might have been a cooler in the clubhouse with Gatorade. But that’s it for now. From what I hear the large old clubhouse/event venue was too much to maintain so building has been gutted.
The greens were well maintained and rolling true. The fairways and second cut need to be cut shorter. Fairways are like hitting out of second cut.
Hello, John. Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for your experience during your round. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve.
