quality value round
Overall a solid round of golf. Nice people. Great views. Challenging course from back tees. Good times
Nice but very wet conditions.
Good course, great greens, but retains the water in the fairways so you get no roll from your tee shots. Pretty area of PA. Would play it again.
An Interesting Traditional Layout
I paid $29 to walk on a Saturday afternoon. Glen Brook is a 90 year old course so it has many features you would expect from such an old design like close together holes and postage stamp greens. The proximity of the holes makes it the ideal course for those who like to walk. Most tee shots are pretty forgiving. However, many approach shots are into small greens and wayward shots are punished. I had many awkard side hill lies on chips close to the green. This is a real shot makers course. The conditions were a drawback as clover grass and dandelions can be found on almost every hole. The 9th hole is just stupid. A par 5 with a severly sloped fairway thats funnels directly into a BUSY COUNTY ROAD. On 12 you have to go over the road. We made fun of it by calling it "The Road Hole" like the famous hole at St. Andrews. Long hitters like myself might find that the course plays rather short, especially the par 5s. They're all reachable for long hitters. We saw the beverage cart three times in two holes on the front 9 and never again after that. Strange. Overall the course is a true throwback with a few challenging shots. It's worth a try, but I'm not rushing back.
Great Condition
We had not played Glen Brook last year, so we we did not what to expect. Th e course was in excellent shape. Play was slow on the front nine and extremely slow on the back.
