About
Olde Point Golf & Country Club sprawls across a rolling landscape covered with mature trees, sparkling blue lakes, and meandering streams. Native vegetation is abundant across the gentle hills. It is a course that is both scenic and challenging. Built in 1975, it opened to the public a year later although members enjoy guaranteed tee times. The many water features all over the course come into play frequently and there are also strategically placed bunkers lurking beside the greens. The doglegs are no easy feat either. From the championship tees, the golf course is a formidable test that requires well placed shots but the three other tees provide a gentler game that is more approachable for beginners. In addition to the golf course, Olde Point also has a grass driving range as well as chipping and putting greens.

Fun day
Fun course. Pace was on point.
The hotdog in the clubhouse was a must.
Review of Olde Point Golf Club
Absolutely awful. The course is like it has been mowed with a bush hog mower. The greens looked pretty good from a distance. They had been recently cut but were way too long. Like putting on shag carpet. Will not go back. Extremely poor quality.
Nice course for the money
Overall a nice layout in good condition considering it's the end of a hot summer. Greens were slow but in great shape..for under $50 a good value
Just ok
Fairways are 90% burnt and greens have damage. Would not recommend at this time. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
First time out of state
We were visiting family in wilmington and had travelled in from out of state. Found old pointe had available am tee times 20 minutes from wilmington and had solid prior reviews. Clubhouse staff, she was awesome. Just had rained and ranger was closer but we chipped and putted on practice green , good thing we did as the rough , 2nd cut and greens seemed to ball different types of grass. Greens were high and slow but we adjusted and found the course a nice challenge and the a t up was fun to play. Old school course small greens with bunkers surrounding. Well marked for yardage. We had a great time and played under 4 hours. Water and beer very reasonable, no cart girl. So fill up at the turn
A Lot of Fun
I was on vacation with family. Green’s were being aerated, but that doesn’t hurt my game much. It was a good time, even for an average player.
Way too many people on the course at one time
There were groups going out every 2 mins. We were on top of the group in front of us and there were 2 groups waiting on us. It was way too busy to enjoy
The conditions
Course Layout was good and challenging but the greens were unbearably slow. Fairways were ok. Pace was Exceptional. 18 holes in 3:20. Value for the cost but poor greens are tough to overcome.
Nice surprise
I had a great time playing this golf course. Has a funnel out and is very interesting. I wouldn’t call it overly difficult, but then again I didn’t play all the way back.
The staff was great very friendly.
I did use the driving range but it looked pretty good.
Pace of play was outstanding. Doesn’t seem like the kind of golf course where players lose a lot of golf balls.
I definitely recommend this course.
Unsatisfactory
THE woman put a bad taste in my mouth straight from the club house. I have on a racerback Fila shirt on that i often wear to play golf in. She told me i had to have a collared shirt on. Seriously, lady? You do know we are at the beach! Now i didnt have a cute little walmart tanktop on. It was a FILA! The greens were terrible….bad places on pretty much all of them. The fringes were patchy. No water on the course to drink. I was so upset I refused to go back in and give them any of my money.
Old Pointe? Times are changing! Women wear collarless shirts on the course all the time! Golf shops even sell them!!!!
Fortunately I happen to have one backed as were were 4 hours away from this course on vacation.
WILL NOT RETURN!
Not in good shape
Was told by friends this wasn’t in good shape, but had to try it out for myself because it seemed like a cool layout. Nonetheless my friend was right it a big time bummer they don’t put more money into the course. Was in bad bad shape

As busy as this place is they could put a little money back in to the course the greens and fairways were horrible greens haven’t been cut or rolled very bumpy and the fairways were mostly dry ground I played the course next to it for a lot less and there is no reason for this course to look and play like this
