Needs water
I hate to trash a course because it is difficult times. This course relies on Canadian business and with covid they had none for two years. It has also been a very dry year. But the fairways had very little green grass and the greens were rough with dead spots and poorly repaired pitch marks. You had to pick it clean off the fairways because any divot would break a wrist or a club. Hopefully they improve through the winter and net year brings better conditions.
Zero Maintenance
Don't play unless you get a rate under $20. Greens are the one portion of course being maintained. Bunkers are neglected. Fairways and rough are not mowed regularly. A number of breaks in water lines leading to large wet areas throughout course. Not allowed to hit range balls at 8:30 a.m. on a Saturday?
Used to be nice
I played this course many times, but the fairways were so dry it was like playing off of cement. The tee boxes were chewed up. I know it isn’t the course’s fault but I guess not many people fix their ball marks. Some places it was very wet and there was no need to water where it was wet
Good conditions quite a bit of slope to course.
Nice course for price. Challenging due to slope. A little easier after playing a couple times. You know where to place your shot and the risk ares.
Good for the dollar
The course was in good condition for the time of year. The bunkers needed work but were tolerable. the rest was a great time!
Booking with Golf Now
We enjoyed playing today. I booked two of us again on Thursday 10 A.M. tee off. Booking was not available right away then I saw 10A.M. was gone. So I had to book 8:40 A.M.
When I checked my phone again later both booking appeared.
I had to cancel one. Hope I get the money refunded since it wasn’t my fault.
Course is much better heading into Fall
Played here during the summer to find rock hard fairways and a bleak dried out course with greens in disrepair. On my second play through however, the fairways were much greener and the greens were in fair shape and played quite well. The bunkers however have been left for dead and are not maintained whatsoever.
Nice layout but
Nice layout but course is in poor condition, lousy sand but the price os right.
Poor condition
They seem to have irrigation issues. Burned out or soaking wet throughout the course. Sand traps terrible, not maintained.
A shame. Course has potential but needs $$$
Great bar and restaurant.
Decent course for the price.
This course is in better shape around the may/June months.
September is brown and hard. Big bounces. Not always in your favor.
Menu is good drinks are okay.
Not a bad way to
Spend a day across the line. (From Canada)
Course needs a lot of TLC
I was very excited to play homestead as I played it a few years back and it was in good shape. That was not the same course. The entire course was in terrible shape. Greens had rotten spots all over making putting ridiculous. Bunkers another area that is not a high concern on this course’s priority list. Lots of dead grass throughout fairways, which is to be expected in the PNW during late summer. I wasn’t upset with the shape of the course but rather the price I paid for it. I won’t be returning anytime soon.
