Good value for the money. Friendly staff, Not to difficult

The greens were great. Smooth and relatively moderate paced. Fairways were rough but the fringe around greens was consistent. The layout was open and inviting to high handicaps but not that challenging for low handicap players.

This little course is okay, they are continually/slowly attempting to make it better all the time. The wind kind of dictates a lot out there as it is a prairie golf course with few trees. Course gets a lot of play though as schools use it also for tournaments and play. I think they do about as good as they can with what they have.

Good course. Driving range needs a lot of work. Greens are good but the fairways are in need of better mowing. Restraunt is great. Breakfast is exceptional.

Nice course, greens were in very nice shape but a little inconsistent...one fast one slow. Mid May, lots of rain and yet the fairway grass was sparse with spots of no grass.

The weather and economy are not cooperating with getting the Bermuda to grow. I say wait a month or so.

Great course! If u like concrete fair ways, 40 mph winds, uneven tee boxes filled with poa annua, hard greens, no staff, rude head pro, no bottled water, inmates mowing while ur putting, no weed control

Starting with the tee boxes and fairways, absolutely destroyed. Less than half the tee boxes you could find flat land with grass but who knows what kind of grass you were sticking your tee in. Driving in the fairways, you never know where your ball will end up because it ricocheted after landing on dry and rough fairways. #7 hole is just stupid. It's a short par 4 with a mound of dirt piled in front of the hole so you can't even see the flag. I was looking for a windmill to putt through on the green because this was a putt putt hole. Last, the greens were very slow and shaggy but it could have been because they aerated the greens about a month ago (est based on conditions). The bunkers were nice and fluffy, so there is that..

I don't normally take the time to write reviews but felt the need after reading the last few on here which sounded more like personal attacks than actual reviews.

I haven't played here in years as I normally play the OKC city courses due to location and convenience. An old friend came into town and suggested we take a trip to El Reno. I will say, the fairways on the front 9 are a bit rough and honestly shocked me since I wasn't sure what was going on with them. The greens were in excellent condition. They weren't too fast but rolling true. The pace of play was great, a few foursomes even let us play through which doesn't always happen at the OKC courses. The manager/pro was the one who checked us in and although I didn't know his name, he called us by name when we stopped in for drinks after 9. We asked about the fairways/conditions and he was more than informative telling us the processes they were going through. Very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about his job.

We finished our round in just under 4 hours and stopped in for a bite to eat in the restaurant which was excellent. Overall, our experience was great and we'll be definitely coming back again.

Need grass in the fairways just to Barron carts need to be cleaned up a little better

When we played the wind was blowing 30mph +, and they were punching the fairways. These made for challanging conditions. Still it is a fun course with only one funky hole.

I've been playing this course for the last few years and absolutely love it. It is clear that those running the course are dedicated to improving the course conditions but also the selection in the pro shop which I have personally found to have the best products at the very best prices! I look forward to warmer weather to see how the course continues to improve. Will definitely keep coming back!

I enjoyed the course greens were nice and challenging. Lots on water not too many sand bunkers. It was very windy that day so very cold off the lake. It was wet from all the rain and the ice did a lot of tree damage but they are cleaning it up.

Great course overall. I have played it quite often and it is always in great shape

The pace of the course was slow because of labor day weekend. Over all course was nice only a few greens could of been better. Other than that 2 thumbs up from this guy!

Played on Labor Day Monday. Weather was hot but not unbearable. Not too busy, pace of play was reasonable. Greens in good shape, quick and consistent. Course in average condition. They missed the target here on overall management. 1 The snack bar/restaurant area did not open until 11am. we teed off at 8:50 would have been nice to have breakfast. 2 At the turn we stopped in the clubhouse to get a burger and cold drink and give the group behind us a chance to play through / manager told us they had a "full house" on the course and we couldn’t stop. What?! There was nowhere near a full course. Second opportunity they missed to take our money. 3 Rate (even for a holiday) was too high. 4 stopped for a beer after and both tvs in the club were off during the fedex cup playoffs and bar was closed, really? Give me a reason to stay and spend money.

This is a good challenging course for a great price. There are long fairways and several of the holes are a challenge to get to. It's a fun course.

I know we have had a lot of rain, but the roughs in some places were about 2-3 weeks grown up. The traps were not fluffed and hard to hit out of because of the lengthy rain; they need to be turned and have sand added. The fairways were in good shape and greens were in good shape; a little thick. Overall, it was a pleasant day playing with my 17 year old son for the 1st full round of golf with him-he is a beginner. I scored well, so I definitely had a good feeling leaving.
Enjoy the course; it just needs some project work to dress-it-up a bit.

Have played this course many times over the years and this is the worst condition i've ever seen it. The fairways were halfway mowed and we lost many balls because we couldn't find them In he tall grass. They could use rain as the problem but a lot of courses we've been on have had their's perfectly mowed and they've had just as much.

I'll be happy to go back as soon as I hear the conditions are better

The fairways were long and open. The pace of play was relaxed and the hazards weren't intimidating. I enjoyed the tees that shot off and up the hills. The greens were rolling slow and it was windy, but what a great game! With golfnow, we got 2 players and a cart for $33! Unbeatable!
