About
Situated just next to Potawatomie State Park, Idewild Golf Course enjoys scenic views from almost every hole. The course itself is colored with a variety of native vegetation that complements the lush, well manicured greens and fairways. The rolling terrain provides plenty of interesting contours that range from subtle to dramatic. It is a challenging course that offers plenty of risk-reward opportunities. There is plenty of water and sand coming into play throughout the golf course. The most talked-about hole is the tough par-5 ninth where reaching the island green in two is only possible for the longest and most accurate of hitters. There are mature forests to the right, a fairway bunker, and a towering elm tree in the center and not to mention the green itself is large and undulating.

Door County Golf
Got a hot deal for 14$ first one on the course. Good layout, challenging as a first timer here. Lot of tee shots that course knowledge would have been beneficial. Green were nice, fairways nice overall a spectacular deal and fun round. Would like to play again after knowing some lines off the tee.
Hidden Gem
Love this course, beautiful layout and a challenge for all handicappers. Greens are superb.
Idlewild
Great staff friendliness. Course has a few tough holes, tight, water, etc. Enjoyable round, although just a little slow due to groups in front.
Family Golf Outing
Phil is FANTASTIC! We have been on this course a couple of times, today was a special day though we brought our 2 younger girls with us ages 11 & 7 for the first time, our 7 year old has been begging to go with us, so we decided to get her a youth set of clubs for her birthday & book a tee time, we also took my oldest daughter and fiance with and my 7 year old grandson. So 3 new golfers, & oh my what a nice course to get the kids started with a new family sport, they had a blast and it was fun for us to see the kids have fun. Golfing isnt a old person sport, its a fun challenging game that a whole family can enjoy together! Thanks Idlewild for making it a great day for us!
Good, fun course.
Idlewild is a well kept course that offers some unique challenges. It is a bit long for my taste with 3-400 plus yard par 4s from the blue tees so I will play the yellow tees next time. It was fun.
Snotty Desk person
Arrived on time ( 1225) desk person chastissed ed me that the other people were looking for me. I was never told that I would be paired up with others.
Then same desk person chastised me again that I should slow down when he made it clear that I must be holding things up.
Very poor manners.

Great layout! Greens are awesome! Fun place! Great view from the bar! Golf here 5 or 6 times a year!
Very well kept, great layout of course, very fair course
Water every where
Would have rated course higher if the greens had not been aerated and heavily sanded. Not puttable. May not have gone if had known ahead of time.
Nice time
Nice course in good shape, considering the heavy rains they had the day before. Greens were in good shape, fairways had some standing water.
Playing for the first time, I had to guess on a few tee shots but nothing was too outrageous.
Overall a fun time and will play again
Get rid of the geese
We enjoy this course very much but do not enjoy stepping in goose droppings. I would encourage the employment of a border collie on the 9th and 18th greens.

Course layout was very nice.
Pretty straightforward only had a couple of holes that required a guess as to the tee shot.
Would play it again and again.
Conditioning was good even though they had a lot of rain this summer.
