The 18-hole Eagle's Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, S.C. is a public course that opened in 1998. Designed by Davis Love III, Eagle's Pointe measures 6,738 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 130 and a 72.5 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
The hallmarks of Eagle's Pointe are its classical, risk-reward design, natural beauty, strategy, variety and superb conditioning, along with outstanding customer service.
Winding through stands of moss-draped live oaks and pines and fresh-water wetlands and lagoons, Eagle's Pointe Golf Club's spacious corridors allow the golfer to keep driver in hand, while its dramatic bunkering, unique green sites and contoured putting surfaces combine to create one of the most exciting venues in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Great day at Eagles Pointe
The course is in excellent shape for the price. We have played there once or twice a year for at least ten years.
One thing we noticed was that several greens on the back 9 have invasive weeds in the green service which really changes the roll of the ball. If you are looking for as inexpensive round this is the course for you.

Don’t believe what you hear
We played today even though many said save your money. Overall the course is in great shape. Sand traps need some work and the greens on the back nine are slightly a work in progress. The lay out is fun and well thought out. Challenging but the fairways are not crazy narrow like some older courses. We played early pace of play was great and was a good value. Give this one a chance. We are here for 3 more weeks and will put this in the rotation

Eagle Pointe Golf Course
Is really a nice layout! Staff were great, very helpful and friendly. Course condition was rough in places.... greens had a lot of crabgrass which affects your putts.
If the price was right, we would play it again knowing that the greens need work! We played it 15 years ago and it was in great condition!

Recovering From Prior Management
I stopped playing this course about a year ago due to the mismanagement of the facilities. I won't go into details on that, but after seeing recent reviews and a new company maintaining the course I decided to give them another chance and will say this course is almost back to being a 5-star course. It always had a great layout. Still needs a little work in the bunkers and some tee boxes but I will put this course back into my regular rotation.

BIGGS
Great layout. Front nine greens are good back nine you are dealing with weeds. Bunkers are a disaster, Fairways are average. Stated there is a six week new ownership. Worth
the fee, $50.00.

The course was a good challenge
Eagle Pointe Golf course was nice course to play! Walked into the pro shop and the staff was just so nice and helpful for my first time playing there. The fairways was nice the course was challenging for my first time playing but it was a great course to play the views you got to see the wildlife that was roaming around out while playing was awesome to see as well. Got to see a pack of turkeys on hole 1 and a big fox squirrel roaming around on a couple holes. The layout of the course was nice. I would definitely come back to play Eagle Pointe again and would also recommend it to several people to come and play there.

Dreadful condition, the club is on its last legs
Where to start ? Greens infected with po-annua and/or crabgrass (I think), some unplayable, and along with the rest of the course, the grass hadn't been cut in days.
I lost two balls on the fairway (!), and a lot more in the first cut of rough because the ridiculously long grass just swallowed the ball whole.
It has the air of a course in decline, and about ready to go under. A pity, it's a good layout and, if well maintained, could be very nice track
Only one person seemed to be on duty in the whole clubhouse when we arrived. Bar wasn't staffed, couldn't get food or drink at the turn, or even use the bathrooms - the whole building was locked up (at 4pm on a Saturday !). Only saw one other staff member ALL DAY, a guy at the cart shack. Nobody (at all) out on the course, the range, 1st tee, etc - NOBODY.
Save your money !

Not bad for the money
It’s the cheapest course in town I believe so you can’t expect it to look immaculate. The greens are functional but some of them could use work. My biggest complaint would be the bunkers are basically like hitting out of wet concrete. But just don’t hit it in there and you’ll be fine.

The course is in TERRIBLE condition
I find it hard to believe they didn’t shut it down for repairs
But they still took my money
