The 18-hole Eagle's Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, S.C. is a public course that opened in 1998. Designed by Davis Love III, Eagle's Pointe measures 6,738 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 130 and a 72.5 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.

Winding through stands of moss-draped live oaks and pines and fresh-water wetlands and lagoons, Eagle's Pointe Golf Club's spacious corridors allow the golfer to keep driver in hand, while its dramatic bunkering, unique green sites and contoured putting surfaces combine to create one of the most exciting venues in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

The course is in TERRIBLE condition
I find it hard to believe they didn’t shut it down for repairs
But they still took my money

Price about Right for HH area
Greens were ok despite sanded areas on greens. rolled true, not overly slow. About as expected for course at this price point in HH area. Fairways were rough in that there were quite a few zoysa(?) patches in fairway. Not great, but again fir HH, price point it was OK.
Played with someone who lived in neighborhood and like many courses that get turned over to neighborhood, unable to remain or just are not private, course maintenance budget is minimal. Can only do what budget allows.

Cow Pasture
Course was a total cow pasture. It was the day to mow the fairways. So much grass clippings on them, might have been a week or 2 since they were last cut. No sand in the bunkers. Greens were rough.
Kicking myself for not having checked the reviews before booking my tee time. Probably would have gone elsewhere instead of walking off after 12 holes and going for breakfast.

NICE LAYOUT
The course is in decent shape. The greens are in playable shape. The fairways are in ok shape, still have a lot of weeds .

Enjoyed the fairly fast round
Higher summer prices are keeping players away in this hot weather. Lowering prices iin this very hot westher s warranted to make players interested. Fairways are nice, roughs are OK, greens OK, but sand traps are in rough shape. Staff are very nice and accommodating.

Eagles Pointe GC
Greens have fungus. Makes it difficult to putt. Lots of weeds on fairways and tee boxes.

Brutal Conditions
Absolute Goat Tract. Greens so fuzzy and spotted you can’t even putt. Worse course I’ve ever been on for the money. Don’t play unless you get on for free.

Needs a lot of love
First they tried to charge my elderly father, who I am visiting, $20 to ride along with me even though he is in too poor of health to play because they didn’t have enough carts - I ended up being in a 3some and we all had carts. The greens were some of the longest, slowest, and most damaged I have ever seen. Tee boxes were rough, fairways had standing water on most holes (I lost 2 balls in fairways due to plugs). I got a decent deal to play here but I’ve played on better municipal courses for $10. Save your money.

Positive changes being made
The course began the year in less than ideal condition. Greens were poor and fairways were sparse. The course is now in a state of transition and is getting back in shape.
The greens are a priority and getting much better. The fairways are lush and also much better. All in all the course should be there best in a few more weeks. The course layout is good for all levels of play and The staff is friendly and helpful.
Play here three times a week and always fun to play.

The course needs a great deal of work.
First many of the greens were not very good, man were just sandy.
The sand traps did not have any sand in them.
Someone had cut the grass when it was high so there was a great deal of grass on the fairways

Davis Love would be embarrassed his name is attached to this course. Greens unputtable. More crabgrass than Bermuda everywhere. I never did a bad review before, but had to this time. Only about 12 people on whole course so pace was great. Not a $50 golf course.

Tough to pin down
Ok, so I don’t want to mirror a bunch of other reviews. The frustrations for folks is accurate. The greens are really inconsistent and often in rough shape. Many have spots that lack grass, but honestly there are numerous pin positions available where the bad spots can be largely avoided. That being said, the grass in the green is too long and therefore makes putting not only difficult but also a huge deviation from other places you’d play. I assume the truth is they can’t afford to lose the grass they have. I play a lot and know that the greens make the difference. The green complexes have variety and tons of potential. Fairways were in good shape and the tees were not an issue, albeit too fuzzy. For less than $40 you have a challenging layout, largely house free experience and a chance to work on multiple parts of your game. I was here on vacation and expect expensive golf fees, heck it’s Hilton Head island area for crying out loud. I had fun. The staff was excellent and accommodated an additional 9 holes for me. They have a range and a short game area which is really nice. In closing, they certainly have a lot of work to do on the greens (and bunkers). Just need to be fair … they have a good bit to offer as well. I hope they get things figured out!

Great layout
The course was good for the price .Greens are very spotty and the sand traps are missing sand .The fairways had just been cut but we’re in great shape as well as tee boxes . We are average to high handicap golfers and had a great time. If
I live across from the Augusta National and was not expecting AGNC conditions so for the price we paid we were very satisfied except for the areas listed that needs maintenance.Storms rolled in with Thunder and lightning on sixteen and they sounded the horns.
We got to our car before the bottom fell out .
