Where’s the grass
Fairways were missing grass on nearly every hole. Horrible course conditions.
Room for Imrovement
Played in late April. I completely understand grass not being very green yet due to lack of warm weather in the area however, there are large areas that are just dirt, including in the middle of fairways. Most of the bunkers are also just clumpy dirt. The ones that weren't were full of water even after a week with no rain. The pace was extremely slow (5+ hours). Lots of time waiting around at tee boxes and in fairways. Staff we dealt with seemed generally rude. I'll try it again sometime but it definitely is not my go to in the area.
Awful Pace
For $20 I can't complain too much. However, the pace of play was the worst I've ever experienced. At one point on the back 9 there were 3 separate groups waiting on the same tee box. There was no starter and no one on the course to enforce anything. The fairways weren't great in places and many of the bunkers were either overgrown with weeds or were hard mud. The saving grace of the course was the perfect greens that were fast and smooth. I wouldn't pay more than $20 for this course though.
Great Greens, Good Fairways
The greens on the course were exvcellent for March. The fairways were recently plugged so you know they will be in great shape in a month or so. The greens were hard, fast, and true. The two complaints on this course, The pace of play on the back 9 was WAY too slow and the works on the course did not stop running chainsaws and equipment during your round. The bunkers are a joke. Please remove half of them and let them grow in as grass bunkers and attempt to maintain the rest. This is an issue that seriously needs adressed ASAP.
Wet March Golf - Immaculate Greens!!!!!
They have tarps lying around the course to tend the greens - and they work like a charm! Everything in MS and TN is brown and dead from all the 2018 rain, but they have the greens in fantastic shape for such bad weather.
Traps need lots of work and new sand (expected after winter).
Great layout - BE ACCURATE!!
Needed to play the golds (tips 5/5) - we played silver 4/5 and red 1/5 with our wives, not quite long enough, but well cut with tons of water and traps.
Poor poor condition.
Sand traps have no sand on entire course? Course condition is poor!
Great service and great layout
Alan always treats us like we are special. Love the course especially the fairways. Sand traps in need of work so we don’t play out of them.
Defintely a Value Course
Me and my dad play here when we don’t have anywhere else to play. As far as I can tell the pace of play is better than wedgewood but you are getting a lot less course. The course is extremely difficult and there is trouble everywhere you better hit perfect shots or you will be making double bogey every hole. The bunkers are mud and some are completely full of water. They don’t do a lot of maintenance except on the greens and the greens have a lot of suttle breaks that even the best players wouldn’t see.
You won’t regret playing this course.
Short but hard. Lots of water and hills. Minimal trees. Highly recommend.
Great winter course as well as in season. No leaves!
Great Golf Course
The golf course was in great condition and the green fees are great! I love playing this golf course. The greens were extremely fast, but in great shape. I would definitely recommend Northcreek to any golfer looking for a great corse to play!
A nice surprise
Played this course about seven years ago and remember it being a dive. Went back today on the way home to play an extra round to close out a golf trip. Much different than I remembered. Smooth, true-rolling greens. Quick, but not like putting on glass. Well kept fairways and rough, and (was told) that all of the brush on the surrounding mounds had been cut down and regrown into playable turf. Made the course much better looking, while also playable. The course is short even from the "tips" but has enough water, trees, hazards, and side hills to make it challenging. Sand traps are well kept, but most are in need of a few truck of sand. They seemingly put work into plowing/raking, but it's still mostly dirt. Nice course, give it a chance if you happen to find yourself in the Memphis area.
