Great layout
Although parts of the course aren’t in the greatest conditions, it is a superb fun layout!! It’s worth the money, pace is always good and the clubhouse has all the goodies you need for your round!!
Fun Course
Definitely worth playing. Cart paths are confusing, and judging the distances to the pin was tricky , because there are no range-finder reflectors in the pins and very few ground markers. Also, the signs at each hole had inaccurate distances to the pin. The course could definitely use some upkeep, but if you’re looking for a challenging and fun round, definitely put this course on your must-play list.
Tough Day
First of all, the staff were great especially the cart guy, super guy! Unfortunately the facilities along with a heavy mist the night before made for a wet, frustrating experience.
The cart was nice and pace of play was excellent, the fairways were decent and some of the greens exceptional but tee boxes and yardage were my biggest concern. Do not play this without a range finder, as it’s quite hilly and tee’s we’re all over the place which made yardage very difficult. Several holes look blind from the cart yet once on the tee you’ll have a better view. They could do amazing things with just going over the signage and adding little tips here and there to assist in strategy. GPS would be amazing but I understand the cost associated with it. Someone needs to take a look at the course with no blinders on and make adjustments for guest experience. There were some good holes and generally in fairly good shape.
Overall, my son who lives in downtown San Diego and I met for a round of golf and honestly golfing with him and spending time together couldn’t be disrupted of a special time yet this course has potential if someone takes the time to for some TLC!
No golf cart included
Wasn’t a bad course. It was fun, but paying more to rent a golf cart than the tee time was weird. I’ll still come back.
Beautiful course layout
Course can be maintained better. Green were below average part of the fairways was terrific
Cheap course
Would recommend paying more than $25 but not a horrific course. The greens were a little patchy and the layout was not good but still a fun course
Pleasantly surprised!
Found a great mid day walking rate on a Thursday for 2. As we pulled up to the course, which looked kind of rough, we were not expecting much. Once we started to play, the fairways got better and the greens were well maintained. Still a lot of work to be done but you can tell someone is putting in the effort to make things better. There was nobody in front or behind us and we finished our round in 3 hrs 30 minutes. Would definitely go back! Great value!!!
Best value
The course is really coming together and is an amazing value
Great beginner to intermediate course
For the money this is a great course! They recently spent some serious money on refurb’ing this place and it shows. Course was recently changed and makes a lot more sense. Very pleased with our round.
Love this place.
This is my go to course. This course for the price is unbeatable. Love this place
Hadn’t been here in 2 years
They made the 12th hole the first hole. So no longer has 3 par 5s in a row. Plays like a real golf course now and the new par 3 is a beast. People were complaining about mowing, newsflash you can bring a 3k lb mower over mud you dingbats. Greens are slow and sticky but in the best shape I’ve seen them. This course is on the up and up, can’t wait for the new tee boxes to grow in.
Major Decline
This course used to be a great value only a few short months ago.
Needs a lot of work now. But in all fairness maybe due to the excessive amount of rain lately.
Greens super slow. Fairways in dire need of mowing.
Way too much unkept rough around the greens and off the fairways.
Paid $47 s/b $27.
Keep your expectations low.
Course needs a lot of work. The Greens were actually decent but the rest was pretty rough. Very over grown. Keep your expectation low and maybe dont even keep score. Great place to take your kid or someone new to golf. Also dont forget your $1 Domestic Beer after your round
Boulder Oakd
Boulder Oaks is over priced and is in desperate need of work! Need to consider selling the course to a group who cares.
Cart price not actually included.
Cart price is not included even though it claims to be on golf now. That’s fine, $15 more for the deal we got wasn’t terrible, but then there was a group of six in front of us. Hey if you want to let 6 go out that’s fine, but don’t charge premium prices. I’ll search for better deals down the road. I’m all for casual play, but I would hope the rates would be casual too.
