Father and Son
Great course. Kinda surprised local zoning didn’t allow food sales on Oak? Weird reminder of big brother in the middle of your round. Also, there were few if any reminders that it was cart path only, so we got stuck a dozen times. Also, no real warning of the no food policy on Oak, by the time we got to the tee box it was too late to go back. Other than that though I would play again.
Average average average
Thought this course would be interesting, but
It was very average. Borderline boring. Greens where good but not much else.
Some fairways were muddy with little to no grass. Based on playing six other courses in the area I was a bit disappointed.
B- or C+ Wouldn't Pay Rack Rate
Played Creek/Stone House. Mid-morning start time. Mats on driving range. Whatever, right? Creek more forgiving than Stone House. Stone House way too tricked up. Tight with more than a few blind shots. (SH). Both 9's...most fairways just OK. Greens were fast...fast. Good/great condition. Players...fix your ball marks on the greens. No marshal or beverage cart seen on course during entire round. Quick hot dog stop at turn. Carts annoying if you move off path or fairways.
Net, this entire resort needs a huge renovation. (BTW, it's been two years since you bought this property, Pechanga. What are you waiting for?). If I'm visiting the area, I'd probably pass on stay/play deals. Golf only...other local options would likely be better conditioned and more fun to play. That said, find a sweetheart deal like I did and you'll have an enjoyable day (which I did).
$20 Cart Fee Beware
Beware of the secret $20 cart fee that they charge you on top of what you’ve paid with Golf Now. No where did it say this when booking the round. They blamed it on Golf Now at the pro shop and said they’ve had nothing but problems with Golf Now.
Good deal gone bad.
I have played this course many times. I arrived at my scheduled time only to be informed that my tee time had been changed to an hour later. I was also told the Golf Now app fee DID NOT include the golf cart fee. Very annoying deception- it should be clearly stated by them in the app. For the inconvenience of being rescheduled one hour later, I was given a small bucket of range balls, a very mediocre compensation gesture. I ended up walking the course with my own pull cart since they also do not rent or have them.
Top 5 San Diego area course!!
Would recommend this course to anyone. Greens are smooth only took me 3.5 hrs to play I really enjoyed this place. I plan on coming back this weekend’s
Temecula creek
The course was in great shape greens where perfect.looking foreword to playing again there this week.
Course condotions
The only thing that needed attention was the mats on the range
Good time
Nice 27 hole lay out. After playing 18 I wanted to see the last 9 . Ended up playing another 18.
Great Course
Greens were perfect fairways great staff were very friendly. GPS on carts very helpful food at snack bar was awesome . Overall experience was great. The Oaks course was more of a traditional course and the Stonehouse was Tighter and more challenging.
Temecula Creek Inn
Played the Whites on the Oaks/Stonehouse combo (6304/70.2/127) using Forelinx in slightly over 4H. Paired with Chris/Sue, nice couple and 140ver. Thanks for coming up Mike! The weather was around 80, clear and calm.
Fun course, the Oaks 9 is more wide open and less picturesque than the Stonehouse 9. The layout is constantly up/down rolling hills with fairly large, thick trees lining every fairway. Even though it is not far from major streets and the freeway, most holes feel secluded with no homes around and native areas ringing most of the course. Would be a challenging course to walk with the rolling hills.
The tees were good. Fairly level, adequate coverage with most divots properly maintained.
The fairways were fairly lush and nice to play off of.
The rough was decent with good coverage. A few areas were deep and lost ball rough, but most areas were not overly penal.
The sand was excellent. Nicely maintained with an adequate amount of good quality sand.
The greens were medium fast, firm but held approach shots well. However, chips would release and that needed to be accounted for. After playing on some of the slowest greens I have ever played on Friday, these seems like Augusta. Three putted 4 of the first 5 greens before I got the speed down and ended up with one of my worst ever putting days, but the greens were not the challenge, it was me!
Quick efficient check in. Good GPS on carts. Cart gal out and around numerous times. Good snack shop and busy restaurant onsite. Nice course in good condition, definitely recommended.
Surprising Saturday
Thought I had only booked for 9 holes to insure I make a weddng later in the day. Turns out I was on for 18, but played only $ 54 - who am I to argue. Front 9 was Creekside 9; not extremely difficult and I was hitting it good. Back 9 was the Stonehouse; very hilly and tight fairways.
Overall above average for a resort facility.
Pace of play
I have played this course many times over the years but l have never played a round taking 5-1/2 hours. There was no one on the course controlling the pace of play, very disappointed!!
Great golf experience.
Nice little resort course with 3 sets of nine holes. We started on Creek - was pretty boring with not much challenge or interesting features with a lot of highway noise (I-15). It got a little backed up cause of a large corporate group ahead and a group of hahoo’s in front hitting every direction but straight. 2nd nine was Oaks - really nice and fun to play, water features and more elevation change. Super great staff and amazing looking bar/restaurant.
Sorry you couldn't eat for 9 holes. Unfortunately there are some who leave wrappers and empty cans.
