Palmbrook Golf Club
About
The golf course at the Palmbrook Golf Club (formerly known as Palmbrook Country Club) has a reputation for being immaculately well kept. The course's greens and fairways are consistently kept in excellent condition making the course enjoyable to play. In addition to the spotless maintenance, the course at the Palmbrook Golf Club has a challenging design that incorporates water hazards in the form of a meandering brook and six lakes on the back nine. The challenging greens are fast and hard to read. There are also several bunkers that can affect play. Four sets of teeboxes provide different options.

Has the Feel of Wiseacre Kids Running the Place
The last few times I have played here, I’ve had the feel that the kid in the pro shop has something more important to do than work the register and check customers in. This time the kid had a couple buddies at the counter chatting about whatever and his attention was split between checking me in and participating in the buddy chat. That aside, the course was coming off overseed and was cart path only. Always fun taking half your bag out to the ball to still not have the right club. Alas, it will get better soon. As for the overseed, I hope it grows in thick as time passes as it seemed a bit thin and whispy. The greens were also super fuzzy so no way to get the speed right. They just need to get rolled as the grass gets established.
Total rip-off
Yesterday this course was unplayable. Over-seeded recently and not nearly ready for play but management collected green fees anyway. This course has at least 2 weeks before it’s playable assuming the work to get it in shape is completed.
Waste of time and money
They don't tell you the grass hasn't been cut in a month, the employees seem like they all hate you, and it's overpriced.
Goat track
Overseeing created a goat track. You could easily loose a ball in the fairway. Greens were so shaggy they were unputtable. Wait 2-3 weeks until they cut the grass.
Over Seeding Conditions
It would be a good business practice to inform golfers about your course conditions before they decide to purchase. Not once in the booking of this tee time did it mention over seeding and what the conditions of the course are. Cart path only the entire course (until 10/20 per there printed sign), tee boxes and rough were ridiculously long. The greens were the equivalent of putting on shag carpet (I would say a 3-4 stimpmeter). Call before you book!
Nice course
Course was nicely laid out. Just coming out of over seed so very hard to rate any higher.
PalmBrook Review
Truly enjoyed the round of golf at Palmbrook, staff very friendly and helpful. Course was in the middle of over-seeding but we knew that before we started it's well posted on the website. Can't wait to play again when the over-seeding is completed. Short comment on the person who left the bad rating, you should read before making a tee-Time. Must be from California!
Good neighborhood gold
I've played here about 4 to 5 times, the last time they had just opened after re-seed so the greens were a scruffy , but this course is always fun .
Don’t come in October
Fairways and greens extremely long, couldn’t find hi-viz balls in the fairway. Greens were thick and bumpy and had to full swing a putter to go 5 feet. Sure it’s probably nice when manicured, but definitely not yesterday.
Terrible
The greens were in terrible conditions. The practice green was closed. It was cart path only because of seeding so that added on to the bad experience. It would probably be a fun course once they get the green in order and it isnt cart path only.
Overall great round
Played Saturday afternoon. Solid golf course conditions. overall great round, great pace of play.
Overgrown
In an effort to make the course look green they have left the rough, fairways and greens too long. At 6300 yards the course probably was playing 6500 yards. The greens were lucky to be rolling7 on the meter. Save your money and play somewhere else for the next couple weeks.
Straight forward course.
Standard Sun City course. Great practice areas, including range, putting, and chipping areas. Course is clean and in good shape considering middle of AZ summer. Greens were a little long and slow but completely understand the need protect the greens against the heat.
