Palmbrook Golf Club
About
The golf course at the Palmbrook Golf Club (formerly known as Palmbrook Country Club) has a reputation for being immaculately well kept. The course's greens and fairways are consistently kept in excellent condition making the course enjoyable to play. In addition to the spotless maintenance, the course at the Palmbrook Golf Club has a challenging design that incorporates water hazards in the form of a meandering brook and six lakes on the back nine. The challenging greens are fast and hard to read. There are also several bunkers that can affect play. Four sets of teeboxes provide different options.

I was very disappointed, I don't think I would do it again.
Needs maintenance
The course was in very bad condition. Some grass areas hadn't been cut in weeks. A lot of burned out areas. The greens were not in good condition and were unpredictable. The course needs a lot of maintenance work.
Needs work
I understand it’s Summertime in Arizona but I play every week sometimes twice a week and other courses have been able to maintain pretty good conditions. Too much bare grass in front of the greens and patches in the fairways as well as horrible tee boxes. I did play from the back tees and it seemed that the closer tees were in better condition. Honestly the course is probably a good place to play in the spring when some rain or moisture is in it but until then I probably won’t play here again.
Dry but good greens and fairway
As with all courses in the Phoenix area, no rain has caused brown areas, but for the most part, this course was in good condition.
I was paired up with a couple of older gents that were quite slow, so the pace was effectively slow.
Palmbrook GC
All in all the course was in decent shape with the hot weather we have been having. There were several tee boxes that were in bad shape and several greens had bare spots.
Poor Condition
Course is in very poor condition. Greens, tee box, fairway. Decent price, but not worth it.
Poor course cndition
A few years ago this was a private club and in great condition. It now is public..... tee boxes are mostly dirt, greens very bumpy with large patches of dirt. I have taken this course out of my rotation. I hope they give it the TLC it needs.
It’s OK
Fun course… but greens are a little burnt out. It’s hot. Totally understandable but be aware you won’t get smooth putts.
Staff was outstanding in Pro Shot and restaurant
The grass on the course was spotty, probably because of the extreme heat over the last few weeks. Greens were better but not great,
Palmbrook
Course was in OK condition. probably based on the fact that Phoenix is in the middle of extreme heat conditions. All grass areas were spotty, but overall it was playable. Feel sorry for the course superintendent
poor tee boxes, fairways and greens. Not sure what happened , but it will take some time to recover.. I wont be back for quite a while
What happened
This course is usually in good shape but this is the worst I have ever seen it I won’t be going back for a several weeks.
Matt Brandon are awesome always glad to see them
Summer burn
The course was already showing signs of getting burnt out. Tee boxes were horrible, fairways were patchy in spots and greens had patches as well. A little early in the summer to be in this shape. Luckily it was a cheap deal.
poor conditions - especially greens
staff was great and overall, my buddy and I enjoyed our time, but we both commented on the rough conditions of the course -- in particular the greens. they were very bumpy and spotty throughout the course.
What Happened to PalmBrook?
This course is normally in the best condition out compared to the majority of Sun City courses. That is no longer the case. Mud and dead patches EVERYWHERE. I was stoked to be shooting off the fairway where there was actually something to hit off of, forget about anything on that dirt patch. You like tee boxes? Well don’t come here because they don’t exist. Nothing but dirt. There were massive dead patches on the greens. To charge $50 for these conditions is a crime. STAY AWAY fellas.

Normally the course is in good shape but this time the course looked like it was being prepared for overseed. That would not have been a problem if the condition of the course was properly advertised. I was shocked to see the fairways and tee boxes in such poor condition. I normally would recommend this course to a friend but not in it's current state.
Gone wayyyyy downhill
So sorry to see this course in such terrible shape. Used to be one of the go-to value courses on the west side...consistently in good shape and decent price.
Played it today...most of the tee boxes are just flat out dead, greens are bouncy with dead patches, big dead patches in the fairways, sprinklers running while people were playing. broken ice machine...and they got the nerve to charge $65? I won't be back.
