Lots of fungus die-out on the greens.
Staff could be friendlier. I felt like it was an inconvenience for them to serve us.

This is one of my favorite courses, with a variety of looks and challenges, and beautiful scenery.

No other public facility in Marin (probably even the north bay) does as much work to improve and maintain the course. The greens continue to roll well despite the recent rains, and the fairways are in excellent shape considering the drought. I hope future plans focus on rebuilding a number of tee boxes that are not in good shape--about the only thing I can find to criticize.

I prefer walking and carrying my bag. This course has an overabundance of hills. I liked the layout as it had some elevated tees. I don't like trees in the middle of fairways and this had a few. I don't care so much for blind uphill shots either.
I'd play the course again as its in a gorgeous location, was in very good shape and I got a great mid-week rate on this site. But, I'm glad its not my home course as I think walking the hills all the time could get old.
Also, it shows water on the scorecard but its mostly dry ravines so I was able to retrieve a few ob balls.

The course is in great shape and played fast. The course was packed since it was ladies day but the flow on the course kept pace and only had to wait on a couple holes. A very positive experience.

Steve, Felix, and the entire staff are a pleasure to deal with. The upgraded practice facility is great. Love this golf facility!!

This course has tons of unique holes, elevated as well as greens way below you. What makes it challenging are some trees in the fairways. The greens were challenging. The scenery is beautiful.
Taking the elevator was very James Bond, maybe a tad bit scary. A cart is recommended for this course because it is very hilly. Saw some deer and turkey's.
There is a hole with your choice of 2 greens.

I liked the elevation changes and variety on each hole. Some courses have similar holes and you think " Didnt I play this hole already?"

first time, but no t last time on this course. very frindly staff, and a course with perfect greens and fairways.

There are some hills, and most people will want to ride. The course offers a pretty good mix of difficult holes and easy holes, and it was in good shape - nice greens and fairways.

Playing 18 holes in four hours is fun. Everyone on the course, had four hours as their goal, made for a good day. The location is very beautiful with a variety of challenges.

the weather on the day we4 choose to go was a bit hot but the course seemed in fantastic condition. had a bit of trouble with folks behind us hitting up on us a couple of times. the course basks up a bit around holes 5-6. we were three groups deep at one point waiting to tee off. nonetheless its a gorgeous setting so just look around for a while and have a beer.

Beautiful course, great views, lots of elevated tee boxes which makes driving the ball fun. You have to be part mountain goat to walk the course, not for the fat and lazy golfer!

Only significant complaint was that their was some type of (low key) tournament up ahead and the Marshal didn't seem that concern in moving it along. Our 18 holes took longer then 5 hours. Love the course, just don't care for slow play Saturday tournaments bogging down the entire course...

Great day,nice course,slow play. Group in front were locals who did not have any sense of urgency ,lingering on shots, and on green to discuss whatever. Does not appear course has heard of the "while were young" dictum.

I played IVGC yesterday. The day was beautiful and I was really looking forward to an excellent round of golf. Unfortunately for they were backed up and it was painfully slow. So slow that I choose not to play the full round that I had planned on playing. That was very disappointing. When you're waiting on every hole it just takes the fun out of it. I will return and hope to play the back nine.

I just started golfing a few months ago and this is only the third course I have played 18, so don't have much to compare. This is a long and hilly course, so recommend a cart but there are many fairways you can't drive the cart and you will have to trek long distances carrying multiple clubs, so you will get excercise! Many blind tees, tricky greens and fairways that slope! I would imagine it gets easier after the course is played several times! Thank God for the couple we were paired with because they knew the course! We will come back I am sure.

T to green the course was in excellent shape. Short and long par 4's, Uphill, downhill, side hills lies, pace of play very good, Staff very courteous. 19th Hole Bar all "characters" and friendly.

Fun course. Marshall need to do his job better and get the slow people out of the way

Course was in decent shape. A lot of elevation change and some fun tee shots. We had a lot of wind, which made things tough. Pace was not a problem.
