The main reason bring me back to this course again then again because the layout if the course. You need to think on
Every shot so bring all 14 clubs; and also the condition and the price is good too.

They did not let me know on their web site or on golfnow that the greens had been sanded. Also there was a high school tournament after we started on the front nine. So they let groups go out ahead of us on the back nine, which made us wait. We thought it was unfair. Our round then took another hour more to play the back nine.

Indian Valley has many unique holes that require precision shots off the tee, either to avoid trouble or to set up the approach shot. The elevation changes on the fairways are a challenge on some holes, but most are fair tests. The course is in great shape as drainage has been improved on many fairways in recent years. The #12 fairway was one exception.
The greens are in excellent shape and the 19th is a great finishing hole.

This is a long challenging course. Greens are soft considering the lack of rain. Bartender is not very friendly or inviting.

Would not play again. Other courses around the area are better

Indian Valley is one of the best kept courses in
Marin! It is clear the greens keeper knows exactly what he is doing! Fairways are pretty good too - the only complaint is the pace of play but on a Saturday morning 4+ hours is to be expected. Sadly, the other courses in the area pail in comparison because the folks who take care of Indian Valley are flat out better at taking care of and preparing a course for lots of play!

Course was in great shape. The fall day was perfect, warm and no wind. Being away from the roads and homes make this course a delite to play.

Beautiful views, well-maintained, not too difficult but the holes are each unique.

However, the bar staff is always grumpy.

My husband and I play all the courses within 20 miles and more of our home in Mill Valley, and have for 20 years. In my opinion, Indian Valley is the most beautiful, interesting course in the area. Nothing compares and I never grow tired of it.

Nice challenging course with interesting holes. Not too punishing for high handicappers. Fairways and greens in great shape.

Good value for money, great views, greens and fairways are well maintained

A little difficult to walk, much better by cart, unless you have to ride the elevator to the 14th tee box! The vistas are great and lots of wildlife around. I play this course once a month just because its so beautiful. Enjoy!

This place is great. Tons of elevation change and doglegs. I remember thinking that this course requires a lot of different golf shots, not just bomb a driver and gouge a wedge. That said, it is not too too difficult if you are playing ok. This place is beautiful! The variety of trees is awesome. They keep the course really well-watered. I played in late August and it was green and lush. Also a plus, my cell phone service was spotty here so I was forced to not play around with my phone during the round.

Super slow. Had to stop after 9 holes as it took over 2.75 hrs to play front.
The staff credited us for the back nine and were very apologetic. They took our concerns very seriously. Bought us a drink as well. I feel they went out of their way to make sure we come back. I will, as I have played this course many times and the slow play was not normal.

The course is located in such a beautiful area, but the pace of play sucked all the enjoyment out of our round. We were the first foursome stuck behind a tournament. We had to wait on every hole and on every tee box. Sometimes there would be two groups ahead of us on a tee box. The round took 5 1/2 hours and we didn't even finish the entire 18 holes, because we had dinner plans. The other negative feature of this course is the "blind shot". There are so many tee shots in which you cannot see a target to aim for. If you've never played the course it plays unfair. Not difficult, I like difficulty in my golf courses, this is unfair and not fun. We will not return.

Would have been nice to have a drink/food cart available. Terrific hamburger and ladies locker room. Nice waitress, blah bartender.

The course is the no walk in the park, even from the white tees! A couple of the holes have elevated tees shots, lots of fun!

Indian Valley is in very good shape, greens and fairways both. Very good variety to holes, uphill, downhill, doglegs,and hazards. Not especially long but green approaches are challenging and accuracy is important. Great staff, nice clubhouse, highly recommend.

Classic course through the rolling hills of Novato, CA. Club house and staff are standard, nothing special, but not bad. Driving range spans straight up a dry hill, I would recommend getting your practice in elsewhere. Fun course to play, not long, but challenging enough to test your game. Great vistas from a few tee boxes. Undulations through a majority of the holes.
