Franklin Bridge Golf Club
About
Franklin Bridge Golf Club (formerly known as The Crossing GC) runs alongside the Harpeth River, which borders 15 of the course's 18 holes. Opened in 1970, the course has a classic layout that will appeal to a wide range of skill levels. Some of the holes definitely present a formidable test, the 16th and 18th for example, which have been hailed by local media as two of the best and most challenging holes in the state, but it is the par-4 ninth with its island green that is the course's signature hole. Although the layout offers a fair challenge, there is also some room for error that makes it more approachable for beginners. In addition to the course, Franklin Bridge Golf Club boasts an 8-acre driving range as well as chipping and putting greens equipped with a practice sand bunker.

New owner is awsome
New owner and staff were great.
Bermuda fairways had not greened up yet.
You get extra roll on matted grass.
The greens were in good shape and putted true.
I will go back.
Good potential - needs a lot of work
I live 10 minutes from the course and have played it more than 20 times. It used to be really nice, but it's been hammered to death over the last 10 years. I hope the new owners can breath life back into it. The greens are pretty nice, but the fairways, tee boxes and electric carts are likely the worst in the local area.
The only way to revive this course is to raise the rates and sink every penny into the grass. The fairways are poor to say the least. The other thing that keeps people away is the slow pace of play. Weekend rounds are over 6 hours because no one wants to prod the hackers along. Quicker play means more golfers and more revenue.
So raise the rates, put every penny back in the course and get serious about hiring some motivated course marshals that actually understand their role. There's no doubt this could be a great course again, but it's not going to happen overnight.
Finally!
This course finally has local, motivated, professional ownership. In a short period of time, it’s obvious that positive changes are taking place. More attention being directed at the bunkers than in the past, for sure!
This is a fun course
Played today and was teamed up with a nice group. Course is in good condition and has a fun layout. Fair setup with some challenging holes . Beautiful setting. Definitely will play again when I am back in the aewa. Staff is friendly, helpful and great.
New ownership
Generally in good condition, but new owners will hopefully address horrible flooding around 9th tee box, muddiness walking up to 9th green, and unlevel tee boxes. Former ownership didn’t address any issues. PLEASE fix this stuff.
New Ownership
New ownership coming in. Hopefully, attention will be paid to the flooding around the 9th tee. It’s horrible and slows play. Walking up to the 9th green after very much rain is just plain sloppy. Everyone comments about several of the not-so-level tee boxes.
This past summer and fall, the course has been in great shape. The greens have been the best they’ve ever been. Hope a few improvements are addressed.
A 5+ hour weekday round.
Played golf 55 years and never been so frustrated with slow play. I would give up the game if this was the only place to play. Ranger came by and apologized saying he was sorry but there was a group on every hole. DUHH! Actually some holes had 5 groups and some had 4 and some had 3 and some had none. He obviously had been asleep and things got out of control. This course is only interested in filling tee times and adjust price to accomplish this. They obviously could care less if golf is an enjoyable sport. NEVER WILL I RETURN!
Very consistent
I play here about twice a month on average. One of the best things I can say about this course, and for that matter any course, is that it is consistentt in its play and condition. I have always thought the course played above average, especially after it changed its greens years ago. The layout is fun and slightly tricked up (holes 14 and 18), that is what adds some of the fun to the course. It gets a lot of play so kudos to keeping the course maintained. I see a full driving range most every time I play. I try to avoid playing here on weekends as the round can be 5+ hours. In this heat, that just doesn’t cut it. It could definitely use new carts or better maintenance on the carts. They are not as bad as they used to be, but steering is terrible. Overall, for a course nearby, I am grateful to have a fun and accessible place to play
Less than friendly pro shop employee
Pro shop staff on duty this morning needs some serious education on customer service skills. This is not the first time they have been very much less than congenial and friendly. They act as though they are doing you a favor by checking you in and letting you play their course. This particular person can turn the expectation of an enjoyable experience into something far less. Starter and course marshal were exact opposite and friendly but a change is sorely needed with this particular pro shop employee.
The nicest staff in town!
First, the people were amazing, staff and the other players alike. I could easily play here every week if I lived in Nashville. There are some really tricky holes (9 & 18 come to mind), but I enjoyed the challenge. Fun morning.
Par golf
Fairways and greens were above average for this course.
Forest Crossing
The course had a lot of wet spots because of recent rains. However, it was playable. The greens were in great shape
Course getting into much better shape withexception of a couple of fairways still suffering from flooding. Greens in good shape.
Course is in terrible shape
I have played this course before but i have never seen in this bad. I hope it improves or I will have to find a new place to play.
Saturday April 28
The course was in really bad shape. No fairways to speak of, greens were in bad shape as well.
Pace was extremely slow, and there were no marshals around to speed it up.
I feel like I wasted my money playing here.
