Naperbrook Golf Course

This was our first time playing Naperbrook. Our foursome was by no means golf experts, but we are hobbyists for sure. Our team time was at 9:42 AM. They asked us to push back to 9:50 to accommodate a group of 16 players that had 4 of their guys teeing off right after us. So we bought a bucket of range balls to hit. Then in the middle of that, they told us we were up at our original time because the other 4 some was not there yet. So we wasted our money there. Then the foursome showed up and claimed to be scratch golfers (they were not) and asked to play through on the second hole. This was a little frustrating.

The main thing I was disappointed about was that they had no beverage cart on a clear Sunday day. We like to enjoy a Bloody Mary and a few beers throughout the day and it seems crazy that they wouldn't staff a cart girl on a busy Sunday. There would have been a work around except Naperbrook law states that they can't sell alcohol before 10 AM on a Sunday, which doesn't help if your tee time is at 9:42 AM. So, overall, the course is decent but we were looking to go relax, play golf and have a few beers with buddies on this Sunday and it didn't happen.

Course is always in good shape, greens rolled true, fairways well taken care of, tee boxes had plenty of grass. One of my favorite places to play

Solid golf course in Naperville. Extremely courteous staff.

Pace of play was only 8 minutes apart--- felt to close.

Inspite of the rains,the course was in better shape than others I have played recently. The grass was cut short in the rough areas and the fairways and greens were the best when compared to other courses in the area.

No complaints, conditions were good. Although a few holes are challenging, on the whole the course is not especially interesting or difficult - but enjoyable enough nonetheless. Should be a place you could score at.

Naperbrook is a nice facility, fairly wide open on many holes but enough challenge for weekend warrior

Full price for non residents quite pricey but you can usually find some discounted tee times on Golfnow

This is a nice course that was in very good condition. Only negative condition wise was a high number of unrepaired or poorly repaired ballmarks which took a little away from the greens. Pace of play was a little slow on the day I played. The staff was very friendly. Good challenge for an average golfer.

Close to home, had a great time on this track. A little short overall but it played well. I liked the back 9 more than the front nine, not sure why. I hope to play again soon. Only negative was I don't think they had cart service but maybe because of overcast weather?

We've played Naperbrook before and have most always liked it. Early in the season the greens were pretty brown but they seemed to have recovered nicely. Its a challenging course for the weekend warrior with a few nice long par-5's and I love the dog-leg par 4. It's somewhat of a links course with the rolling hills and high grassy areas throughout. I just wish they would make it mandatory for everyone to get a cart all year round.

Pace of play on back 9 was very slow. Length of time was 3 hrs on the back.

Park District Course. Considering this area had rough winters two years in a row, the course is in very good condition. (The day I played, they had aerated the greens, so the ball was not rolling true.) Holes 3 and 13 are the toughest on the course. Be careful with the drive on 3 and the second shot on 13. Overall, good course.

I went out on a Thursday late morning. I was one of about 10-15 golfers on the course this day. The weather was sunny but breezy and cooler than normal. The course is pretty open, so if you spray a few off the tee throughout your round you will be ok. Not a very long course from the Blue tees. You could actually leave the driver in the bag on most holes if you are not getting along with it. Overall great course and condition of course was outstanding.

The greens are in good shape. Still a little dormant, but the holes from last fall are covered.

Beatiful hole designs with great backdrops to undulating greens allowing for a variety of pin locations keeping interest for the regulars and challenging for first time players. Exemplary sand trap maintenance on the few but well placed bunkers. With spacious driving landing areas and not overly protected greens,allows the beginning golfers to keep pace making it one of the best public course designs I've ever played .
