Naperbrook Golf Course

So my review is probably slanted a bit since I shot the best round of my life, but I could not pass up ~$17 to play 18 with a cart at this fun course. Only had one person working, but it worked out fine. Aeration had occurred in the morning, but I got there for my tee time early and I was let out. Ran into a twosome and foursome that were very nice and allowed me to play through. Perfect end to a great day. Overall conditions were good on the course. Of course the greens were a little bumpy due to the morning aeration, but overall in good shape for this time of year.

This course was awesome to play. Regardless of the weather which was pretty brutal, but I am going to hit this place up again next year in the spring and summer. They take such good care of the course and there is a good combination of dog leg holes and also some narrow fairways. There is a lot of water but not much of it comes in to play. The staff there is awesome, from Tim Dunn to Vickie in the food area. Overall a great experience and can't wait to come back!

This is a very nice designed amd maintained course. The only negative was a few cups where placed in worned area. A little bumpy around the cups. Otherwise the rest of the greens rolled true.

Have played this course many times, the rough is very difficult, great day and good course, only issue being the greens, a lot of unrepaired ball marks and spots on the greens.

This is a good value for the course conditions, and it is good for beginners, but it's very high traffic so it often taken 4.5-5 hours for a round. Make sure you have the time.

Very good mantainance, the only comments are the green not that well to have excellente golf.

The course and people I've met while playing are wonderful. The value is the best I've ever had in terms of cost, amenities and quality. I got a great tee time and and even better price. The 75 degrees and slight wind didn't hurt either. :)

I have only played naperbrook a handful of times this year, but played there about 20 times in 2013, and this year the course is not as well kept as it was last year.

The fairways were nice and the tee boxes were ok, the sand was ok, but the greens left a lot to be desired. They were very chewed up. Lots of bare spots and a million unrepaired ball marks.

I like this course, but I expect a lot more from the most expensive public course in the area. It simply is not worth $65 to play here. Fox bend or even Phillips park blow this place away in terms of course conditions and price.

The snack shop and everybody working in the snack shop was awesome and friendly. The guy working the pro-shop was a grump, and seemed to care less about being there. The starter and all the rangers were great though. They make sure you get teed off on time and that pace of play stays quick.

I'll go back because I live close, just won't be my first choice.

Course was not monitored for pace of play or they just didn't care. They had high school kids out followed by a small outing of 6 groups. Had three-four groups on a hole. One lady asked for her money back as I was checking in. She got stuck on the back and quit. They did refund a portion of her money. They also told me that I could quit after nine but i came to play 18! Greens were in poor condition.

This course belongs to a city but is fairly well maintained. The course outlook is overall fairly plain and therefore it is a great fit for an individual who is a beginner or an intermediate-level player or who would like to enjoy several carefree hours.

Have played the course before. It's in excellent condition.

We arrived at the course unusually early because one of my guests got off work early. When we kindly asked the staff if we could tee off a little early if there was an opening, we were rudely told no and then given some irrelevant lecture about how people who buy their round through Golfnow.com likely pay much less and receive absolutely no flexibility to tee off early. It was a little embarrassing for my clients to have to wait two hours to tee off when we could see an open 1st tee for much of the 1st hour. Even the golf pro Tim Dunne rudely acted like we were idiots for not understanding what he was telling us. Pretty unprofessional and I don't expect my clients to ever want to play there again.

Good condition. Few trouble spots like water & tall grassland areas. Key is to hit ball as straight as possible to avoid hazards. Get close & you still have a good shot get in hazard.....forget about it. Good course layout, links style. Big problem lots of walkers.

They stop cart beverage service after 4 pm. In addition, they should push players to play faster. Course was however in good shape. Greens were decent. Overall good experience, just a little slow, more the reason to keep cart beverage service longer.

Difficult pin placements all day, kept you on your toes. Keeping it in fairways is more important than distance! Play to middle of the greens and you'll be ok, go pin hunting and doubles are waiting for you.

Naperbrook is a nice course with good practice facilities and good course conditions. The normal rates seem a bit high for the course itself, but well worth it with a discounted rate. The food is above average for a public course. The main selling point at Naperbrook is the staff. All were friendly and helpful and never seemed bothered. They went out of their way to answer questions. Kate and Kalli were especially helpful.
