Fun course
The course is fun and pretty easy for beginners. The conditions were were ok. Some greens were a little sun burnt. Not worth 180 dollars for 18. The ocean course was the most fun.
Great course with beautiful views. Course was in great shape and would love to play it again on a return visit. Bring balls or expect to pay $12 a sleeve for Pinnicles and Volviks.
Customer service
The employees are second to none!! Super friendly and caters to the golfer needs!! They are the greatest!!
Deteriorating conditions
We played this course in January 2021 , when it was in immaculate condition, and again in late October 2021, when at least 1/3 of the fairways had gone brown. The greens were in a little better condition. There were above ground hoses and small sprinklers place everywhere, making us wonder if the course had an underground sprinkler failure. We would not play here again until conditions improved dramatically,
spending our money instead at the Wiakoloa Village Course, or Hapuna, or Makalei.
Well Kept Course, With Great Views
Played the Beach Course, while on vacation and the views were phenomenal. The course was in great shape and the greens played very fast. Hole # 7 is easily one of my favorite holes I've played, between the views and the layout. If I return to the Big Island in the future, ill play this course again.
Beach coarse
Course in pretty good shape Hank the starter was awesome only bad thing beach coarse doesn’t pass club house and drink cart flew past us on #1 didn’t stop and never saw them again
Awesome course -just hole #7 is worth the price of admission!
Such a friendly greeting at front desk - and by the starter! Course in great shape and pace moved along at a nice clip!
Stunning views - hole #7 - we were able to just play the front nine this time but will return for all 18!!
Fun, Well kept Course, great people
First, Angie, the marshal/concierge got us off to a great start. Our cooler was set up with ice and four water bottles. We got tees and were allowed to hit balls for free at the driving range until or tee time. Angie offered to let us start early but we decided to hit some balls. This course has wide fairways. There is water but easy to avoid. There are a lot of sand bunkers and volcanic rock but again, easy to avoid due to wide fairways. The pace of play was great on Friday. Finished the front nine with a twosome in 80 minutes. My only minor complaint about the course was the condition of the sand bunkers. All bunkers in Hawaii are more like small gravel. I don’t get it. You’re in Hawaii. There should be plenty of sand. Also the restaurant/bar on hole 5 although convenient had rude staff. Not sure if they are affiliated with the course.
Hawaiian Wonder!
We loved this corse! The stagg was super friendly and the course was in outstanding condition. I loved how water and lava rock were used it the course layout to challenge our game. Our only bummer for the day was the extremely slow group in front of us from hole 4 - 11. That's just golf at times. I strongly recommend giving Waikoloa Beach Course a try to anyone who has not played here yet!
overpriced;underperformed
NOT comparable to Doral courses, Edgewood Tahoe. Kapalua Plantation etc. but comparably priced. LOTS of dead grass in fairways and rough. Greens OK. Called "Beach Course" but only ONE hole approaches shoreline . Beautiful views..... of condos surrounding almost every fairway. Cup of coffee... drum roll please... $7. Rented clubs that arrived in my cart dirty. Female clubhouse staff NOT FRIENDLY. NO Marshall or starter to regulate groups creating ugly wait times. played this course because I never played it before. never again. been there...done that. Not alot of "Aloha" at this course.
