Fairways were in poor shape. Greens were excellent.
Course needs a lot of work
Don't expect much when a round at PV is very cheap during summer months. The tee boxes and greens are in decent shape considering the extreme heat. However, the fairways are in horrible shape for the par 4 holes. The cart path is the worst I've seen. With that said, play the course if you're a beginner golfer or need practice with your iron game. The course's saving grace is the green conditions. The check-in worker was very friendly.
Slow pace of play
I played as a single and had a twosome in front of me. I had to wait at least 5-10 minutes for them to play ahead. They were obviously in no hurry and spent a lot of time looking for lost balls. My tee time was 8:15 am so they were in front of me. At first it looked like one player would hole out while the other one wasn’t on the green yet.. also, the cart paths are in terrible shape. They are filled with pot holes and in some places are totally worn down as they need to be replaced
To be expected
For a super cheap public course it was a little tougher in the fairways than expected but the greens were i great shape considering the heat this summer. A little furry but rolled true and weren’t dirt like some of the fairways. Played in 1:45 so can’t complain at all.
Great course that needs TLC
Course is some urgent need of TLC. Compared to a year ago, the course is in sad shape. In addition, I do t understand the need for golfers to be smoking weed on the golf course and playing blue tooth speakers. Where has golf etiquette gone?
18th hole had a busted water valve that flooded the t box. There was no fairways and where there was a fairway it was full of weeds.
The greens were much improved from the winter. But again, great course needs a lot of TLC.
Paradise Valley Park Golf Course
Good value for the price paid. Nice course to practice and hone your skills.
Sorry shape
Greens not bad, fairways nice if you like hitting off dirt. We'll give it another chance come next Feb, March.
