Coyote Lakes Golf Club
About
Located in the west valley, the golf course at Coyote Lakes Golf Club combines a desert landscape and traditional design with scenic views of the White Tank and Bradshaw Mountains. Although it is modest in length and suitable for all players, the course is still an enjoyable challenge for even advanced golfers. The front nine is more difficult than the back nine with large greens and several contours. The back nine is also challenging though with several notable holes. The fairways are undulating on both and water hazards come into play on several holes. Coyote Lakes Golf Club's signature hole is the 14th, a par-3 hole that requires a shot from an elevated tee to a green that is well protected by two sand bunkers and a lake to the left.

Just happy to be out golfing
However, I have played this course numerous times over the past few years…at $40-60 that is the sweet spot. But at $70-90+(incl. taxes) I expect a little more. It is a value course. When they tried to charge north of $140, a few weeks ago?? Do not let the yardage deceive you. It plays longer which is nice. The greens were running way too slow(stimp 6ish?) tee boxes are torn up and unlevel difficult to distinguish fairway from first cut and no marshal to keep people moving. If they want to charge mid premium levels, I would expect some of that money be reinvested. I hesitate to give the course a 3 rating and not recommend because I like the layout, the challenges the character of the greens and the people are great! Hopefully this was just a weak moment hopefully they can turn things around
Great course
Great course. Play was slow, tee off was about 12 minutes behind.. Didn’t really see a Marshall.. We had a good time. Recommend playing.
Not good probably won’t be back
Range balls made out of Styrofoam and the greens were probably rolling at four . They need to have a disclaimer on their website about the Styrofoam balls.
Rest course for the low to mid handicap golfer
The fairways are lush, in great shape. The greens are well groomed but seem to putt slower than most other courses. Not an overly long course, but you need to be accurate to score well.
First Time
Overall pleasurable! Good track when others are booked up. Tight n challenging but course condition was great value. Greens in great shape. If you spray it off the tee get a lesson before playing here. Otherwise bring plenty of balls.
Course could be nice but greens, fairways and tee boxes all needed mowing.
Shabby
Tee boxes bad, greens inconsistent and over all shabby conditions. Will not play again.
From a beginner perspective
This course is a bit challenging for a beginner but doable because of the shorter distance. Definitely need to think about shot placement and course management. Tee boxes, fairways a bit dry and beat up but not bad. Greens nice. Again i welcomed the challenge and will do it again.
Hit it straight
This course is not difficult if you hit it straight. But it will eat golf balls if you don’t. The back nine has more character with water in play on several holes. It is also in better condition. The front nine has some tee boxes that are mostly dirt. Overall, not a bad course. I would play it again for $50-$60.
Too few flat fairways
Golfed this course many times but as we age the slanted fairways get harder and we don’t hit it as far.
Good day of golf
Busy but normal for this time of year. Greens are in great shape. hole placement was a challenge. I will be back soon
Course needs lots of love and work
I would not play this course again. First, there is no real range and you hit foam balls that do not simulate a golf ball and they just float on the air.
This is prime growing season and the tee boxes were bare on most holes. Fairways weren't much better and had tons of patches of dirt. The bunkers had zero sand and were terrible.
On the front it was just under 3 hours as there was a 5 some 2 groups in front and a 4some that played the wrong tee box and couldn't cover the forced carries.
Several holes, such as 10 had such a severe slope that 2 shots in our group that landed on the right side of the fairway rolled 50 yards to the left into water.
The same was nice but this isn't a course I'll ever play again.
Needs Some Love
I have played Coyote Lakes several times over the past 4 years. The most recent 2/25/23. The tee boxes and fairways were very patchy and not well maintained. The worst part of the course was the greens! The greens were so bumpy and inconsistent it was impossible to read or judge any putt within 5 feet of the hole. The ball would veer off line from the bumps on the green surface every hole.
