Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills
About
The executive-length Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills (formerly known as Rolling Hills Golf Course) provides an excellent game and it is a very player-friendly course. True to its name, the course is quite hilly causing a few elevation changes and undulating greens. The fairways are lined with pretty trees, adding some challenge and beauty to the course. There are no water hazards but there are a few strategically placed bunkers to worry about as well as some out-of-bounds stakes bordering a few of the holes. Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills consists of ten par 3s and eight par 4s. On the premises there are also practice facilities, a pro shop, and an on-site golf pro.

Fun, quick course
This course has tough greens that make up for the short fairways. A nice challenge and a great value
A little slow but fun to play. Greens a little thin in places but rolled.reasonably well. Lots on undulation to make them interesting
Staff was super friendly
Expensive and slow
We waited on every hole, up to 25 minutes at some holes.
The price was too expensive, should have been half the cost for what we got. The staff was friendly.
Nice layout
First time playing this course I found it to be well laid and moderately challenging with several rolling hills and elevation changes. Greens were fast but held shots well. We did not get to play the back nine because of a severe back up so we played the front nine again as it was wide open. That would be my only knock on the staff as the pace of play was not managed very well. I am looking forward to playing it again with the hopes of seeing the back nine.
A Very Busy Place
Was looking for a place to play some golf in the east Valley and this was the choice. Course was packed with golfers and the first tee was not manned by anyone...so you just got up there at your approximate time and went. Pace was slow, even though they did have a marshall out on the course. Greens were nice and puttable and on the fast side...firm also. The fairways were average at best, not in the best condition. Overall it was a nice day on the golf course. Will play it again to see if the conditions have improved.

The course was very nice and tried to enjoy it because weather was perfect. Pace of play was awful and they charged extra because it was holiday. Had booked on line so that was disconcerting. Starter was friendly and cart worker was also helpful.
Always a great track
Rolling Hills is a great short course to challenge your distance skills, and the views are fantastic!
Great time
I always love playing Rolling Hills. It's a great test of one's short game and a great fun doing it
Bad Company !
Course was great even though it was cold and windy. My biggest complaint was the course allowing a cigar smoking player that I had to share a cart with. And apparently he didn't have a handkerchief because he constantly was blowing his nose on his golf towel, really gross.
Get Out There
For less than it costs to play 1 hand of Blackjack up the street you can play this super fun short course. Afternoon rate was a steal, and it was a rainy cold day, so nobody was out there. Finished in about 2 hours without rushing at all.
The course is full of elevation changes and tricky greens. Make sure you bring everything in your bag. You'll want to hit a handful of drivers, and every other club at least once. I enjoyed the layout, especially as a second round of the day.
Conditions were fine considering the price. Greens, fairways and boxes are all in decent shape. Just don't expect too much.
My favorite feature of the course was the views. Sitting right next to Papago park you see the rock formations on the hills, and for those who enjoy planespotting, the course is right in the landing path for PHX. We had nonstop arrivals over our head all afternoon!
The staff here is super friendly! I know that they are used to being completely full on good weather days, so I imagine that the pace can get slow. There are probably a lot of novice golfers learning to swing the club on any given day.
Even with a slow pace this would be a fun afternoon round with some friends and plenty of beers. Don't take it too serious, enjoy the views and have fun. Rolling Hills does not disappoint!
Decent
You get what you pay for as they say. I was.lookung for a cheaper place to play understanding I was going to a course with some conditioning and layout issues and that's exactly what I got. Overall it was a good value and I'll play it again
