Beautiful challenging course!
What can i say about Reflections Bay besides it was an absolute treat to get to play here. We could not ask for a better day. The course was in amazing shape. The layout can be challenging at time but it is a fun challenging. I highly recommend playing this track if you can.
Great course
Great conditions and challenging layout. Greens a little firm but everything else great
Course could use some maintenance
It seems the large flocks of birds are eating up the grass and the greens re not well maintained. For non locals it NJ is not good value. They dont have a range and the cart was bad. Had to change it out. The course is poorly marked no map on the scorecard.
Staff is friendly and some good views
Beautiful course!
Course is great, greens are fast and roll true. Love the layout and elevation changes give you some picturesque tee shots. Will be back next time in town.
The Return of Reflection Bay is a Triumph!
Jack "Frigging" Nicklaus' Signature Design return to play in 2014 and the last four years have been heaven sent to the team at the course to get it in this condition after being closed for so many years.
Not all amenities are available yet but there is a nice restaurant/bar, fully stocked pro shop with kind and knowledgeable professionals, and excellent cart staff. The practice areas are limited to a putting green and cage driving range.
The course is absolutely wonderful. Adjacent to Lake Las Vegas and and the Westin Resort, the views of the local mountains, the water, homes, hotels, and attractions are beautiful.
The course has many of Jack's must have's: forced carries, big bunkers, left or right, etc. I loved this course. Absolutely loved it.
I rank it top 5 in Vegas golf, excluding the hard to play like Shadow Creek, Cascata, and Wynn.
Worth it!
Best course i've played
I enjoyed this course more than Wolf Creek, Bali Hai, and Coyote Springs. The teeboxes were flat and pure and most of them were raised giving you clear views of the surroundings and pin. They do not have water on the course but give you a couple bottles in your cart. It is a bit overpriced but will definitely play here again.
A nice comeback story
This is another one of those courses that deserves four 1/2 stars.
It's now probably one of my top five favorite courses if I'm dragging sticks to Las Vegas.
If you didn't already know, Lake Las Vegas was supposed to be the next hot destination in the desert until the recession derailed those plans. The 36-hole Reflection Bay shrank to 18 holes, leaving only the Jack Nicklaus course that hosted the Wendy's Three-Tour Challenge from 1998-2000, 2003-04 and 2006. I'm glad it survived.
There were only a couple of tee shots that left us confused on where to hit it. Otherwise, it's a good test of golf with beautiful views once you reach the climax of each nine, where the final holes wrap around the lake.
Big TVs in the bar of the massive clubhouse are good for hanging out and watching the game. It's well worth the drive from the Strip.
Great layout
Excellent course and layout. Some of the greens need a little work.
Amazing scenery and layout.
It’s an incredible view from every hole and the water is so beautiful. Great course; greens were in rough shape for some reason but maybe it’s the time of year.
Save your money
Played this course before and it was great. This time, not so much. This course is in a nice location and charge premium rates. This time the greens were patchy with multiple sand spots. We didn’t see any carts that didn’t have tears in the seats. No water stations on the course and for the price you would expect GPS. I know when the temperature is in the 90s it would be nice to know it is cart path only before you paid your fees or book your tee time. I don’t know if they use gray water or manure in the fertilizer, but be prepared for some unpleasant odors on the course. They have warm up area which consists of matts and nets. Two practice greens which were both closed. Wait till the greens get better and if it is convenient then play here. Otherwise play one of the many other courses available.
Worth Playing... for 100 bucks
Nice course, in excellent condition... 10 minute tee times, not rushed, finished in four hours...
Slow...
This is a beautiful course and definitely worth playing!! That said, it took us over 5 hours to play... while it is a challenging course, the pace was ridiculous. We also got paired up with someone who’s young son was “riding along” but really trying to learn golf . Since it was Father’s Day, I get it, however, it made for a challenging outing!! The carts have zero technology, sort of surprising for the caliber of course.
Decent layout but management DROPS the ball in a big way... NO CART on GPS, NO COURSE LAYOUT ON CARDS OR ANYWHERE ELSE, NO DRIVING RANGE, and NO DRINKING WATER ON THE COURSE! A shame because it could be a great experience. At these prices, go elsewhere.
Great course
Condition of the course was excellent. One of the best public courses in the valley. They could use some work on course amenities including golf carts that were in better condition, especially considering high cost of play.
A Vegas must
The drive is a bit out of the way, but I think it is worth the effort. The staff is friendly and the scenery is fantastic. The course layout is challenging and meanders through some ritzy neighborhood. Some mild elevation changes. Greens were a bit slow, but the fairways were well manicured. A great experience. Love the finishing holes on both sides (runs along the Lake Las Vegas).
Best of the best
We played 4 beautiful courses in Vegas area 2 at Pauite ,Bears Best ,Revere then Reflection Bay. We truly enjoyed all but Reflection Bay is another level of beauty.. You feel like you are playing a beautiful course in Lake Cuomo Italy
So Beautiful
This is the course you want to play. It was pristine and so fun. The water holes are excellent and the others are fun and challenging. It was very green and pleasing to the eye and the greens were in great shape and average speed.
This rivals the title for best course in Vegas.
It isn't cheap, but well worth the Vegas prices compared to some of the others in the same price range.
