Great value on Christmas Day
68.00 on Christmas Day very fair......
But definitely not worth $135.00 other days. $80.00 seems like a good price
Oak Creek
Greens role true, fairways good, bunkers fair. Gold tees a little hairy but not bad like tighter. Overall good 4 hr 25 min not bad
Excellent round
Beautiful course that is well maintained and great staff. Course is a great balance of challenging holes mixed with ithers that are quit gettable. Would definately play here again!
Lovely round
Played a lovely round. Had 2 nice companions with us but after the 6th Hole we needed the restrooms. We hadn't found any on the course so had to go to the cafe. Then we found it difficult to find the 7th tee. Unfortunately our companions went ahead and 3 other golfers managed to sneak ahead of us and from then on we were waiting quite a bit. Those 3 golfers were really slow and then daylight was running out and 3 golfers behind insisted on joining us and now we were 5 !!! We found this upsetting and it affected our golf for the last couple of holes which was a pity. We really liked the course and would like to play it again in nicer circumstances.
Course is good, but greens were punched
This course is good, but greens were punched and it wasn't noted anywhere prior to booking. I like this course, but it's highly overpriced.
Greens aerated recently so a few weeks away from being in good playing condition. Also, why the heck can’t these courses give us flat tee boxes to launch from!
Always A Pleasure
Oak Creek is a Tom Fazio designed course located in Irvine. The course has large sweeping fairways and strategically placed bunkers. Shot selection is important if you want to mark a good score here. The course usually runs about $150 and is worth it considering the average price of other well-known courses in the area. I was lucky to grab a late round for my second 18 holes today and the course was in pretty good shape. The tee boxes were relatively flat and the fairways had some roll. I thought the greens could have used a little TLC but I can chalk that up to a late round and not too many people replacing their divots. I've probably played this course 25 times and it's always my favorite round of the week when I do. The staff is always pleasant and they have an exceptional practice facility if you want to work on your game before or after your round.
Oak creek
The course was in TERRIBLE condition, fairways all dried out and the greens were also worse than the below average public courses.
Great course
Played alone, no one on course so everything was great
Not a bad choice
There aren't that many good choices for non-private golf in the OC. Oak Creek is probably a little overpriced at $115...$89 would be more like it. The course is in good shape, the fairways are wide, with lots of room to hit the driver. Greens are good; about 6 of them had been needled-aerated (small holes) which we weren't told in advance but to be fair it didn't really affect play very much. On balance, I'd play it again...but I'd look for a deal. P.S. - all the people were extremely friendly.
Oak Creek Golf Club
Greens are inconsistent and burnt grass on edges and bumpy
Great day at Oak Creek
The course was in excellent condition and provided a challenging round. The greens were very receptive and rolled fast. Loved the greens. Overall, each hole was pleasing to the eye but had plenty of obstacles to go through to make par. I would love to play this course again but It can be expensive. We had a great deal for $69 which is 40-50% off the regular price. Nonetheless, I did receive excellent service from all who worked there.
No cart service
Just wish the staff would have told us that there was no beverage service. It was a very Hot day and we could have used refreshments. We called the club house and still no service
Always solid
Moved along very well for a Sunday. Best range to start, really great starter Mike and closer Bruce took good care of us. Course I’m pretty good shape all in, cart girl found us when needed on a hot day, just an overall great round.
Pleasant Round
Very good practice facility...sub-par range balls. Solid layout with nice variation hole to hole. Played the gold tees...boxes and fairways were in good condition; greens were excellent...true and moderately fast (9.5 - 10.0 ). Our foursome had an 8:08 AM time and followed a twosome. We got around in 4:10 with a wait on only one hole on the back 9. Cart girl was pleasant and attentive...saw multiple times on front and back 9’s. Would play again.
