Good value for the money
Nice enough course for the price. Tee boxes and greens are in good shape. Greens are slow. Fairways are very firm and grass is sparse in areas. Challenging layout that tests your course management skills.
Great golf, great price.
Turkey Creek was once one of the crown jewels of N. Central FL golf. After years of abandonment, the course is on the upswing again. Over the past 2-3 years it has just gotten better and better. Yesterday was a downpour. As soon as the rain stopped the course drained well and the greens were absolutely beautiful. We were able to play 18 with very little water interference from the rain. The course can be tough or tougher, depending in tee choice and pin placement. Will it ever be Sawgrass, no. However it’s a solid $50 round, for less than $40. Kudos to the staff and grounds crew.
Great course!
Great course for the price! Greens are well kept and the layout is fun and challenging!
Best local course
Gainesville Fl has only 2 public access courses... There are courses about 30-40 miles away but is the best local course by a long shot... Greens are in great shape-- Could use some cleaner sand in the bunkers-- Fairways are grassy enough for a good lie--- I recommend it strongly !!
