About
Editor's Note: Course closed and redesigned as Cabot Citrus Farms.
Rolling Oaks is one of two championship courses at World Woods Golf Club. The layout offers something completely different from the renowned Pine Barrens course at the club, but it still offers the same amount of challenge and quality. The golf course is named after its landscape of rolling hills and forests of centuries old Oak trees draped with Spanish moss. Lush, rolling fairways lead to undulating greens that are protected by sharply defined, white sand bunkers. Water hazards come into play on three holes. The golf course has a traditional design but the dramatic elevation changes and picturesque landscape covered in azaleas, dogwoods, and magnolia trees really make it stand out. In addition to the two golf courses, World Woods also offers a nine-hole practice course and a circular, 20-acre driving range with target greens and practice bunkers.

Rolling Oaks Review
Course has taken a nose-dive in the last month or so…greens maybe the worst I’ve seen in the 7 years I’ve been playing World Woods. Thankfully, it only cost $28 through GolfNow…I suppose it’s appropriate…right now, course conditions indicate that the value to play is in the 25 to 30 dollar range.
Greens horrific
They are closing soon and it shows, Greens we’re dirt, sand and many of them lost
They are going to close both courses at the end of the month so they are NOT taking very good care at this time. By the time they reopen we won’t be able to afford playing there
They are soon tearing up and remodeling the course
After which under the purview of the Cabot Links folks, this will be a stunning world class venue. Beautiful Fazio layout, beautiful trees on property, but now neglected, damaged slow greens, unrated bunkers, lots of hackers, 5 hour pace of play, a true gem gone to seed.
Ridiculous.
One word sums it up. Greens are garbage. Short staff so limited food. 5.5 hr round severely slow. Inside clubhouse not friendly. Starter nice. 65 bucks per person for a 15 dollar course. It is horrible. Community courses are better. The price does not reflect the course by any means, it’s a scam to pay that much to play this course. Soooo disappointed.
Goodbye
The course will be closing for a year-and-a-half I'm heading back to California in July so I won't play it again I will miss it it's a great course
1st time player
Excellent layout, greens need work which course knows. I hope after the renovation they allow golfers to get a snack or drink after 9 holes.
Very disappointed
World Woods has always been one of my favorite places to play. I love the layout of Rolling Oaks better than Pine Barrens but both course typically play well. I have been gone from the area for 2 years and was excited to play Rolling Oaks again but was very disappointed. Since the news the course was bought and is closing in June for renovation, it seems they have stopped caring for anything to do with course maintenance. While this is understandable, why put money into something your going to tear up in two months, the rate we payed was for a nice course, not the dead grass, dirt patched greens we played on.
I will not return to World Woods until after the renovation is complete and the course is back to its normal pristine condition.
Golf Now -Good Job
Have played this course several times with, friends that are members.
Golf Now made this course a reasonable rate as I would not pay the asking rate of this course.
At one time it was worth every penny the conditions are going downhill.
This course was purchased by Cabot and will be renamed.
I doubt I will play Cabot Citrus Hills when the course is remodeled as it will be a walking course and far to expensive. This is Florida, Heavens waiting room, after all.
Disappointed
Not worth the $100. Weeds everywhere. Greens hurting for some attention and slow. Ok for $45 but not $100.
Rolling Oaks
It's closing in a month, go play it. After the rebuild, greens fees will be thru the roof. The course is still in good shape. Greens were slower than I remember. I joined 3 snow birds, had a blast!
Good track. Greens fast and undulating. Beware
This is a fairly wide open fairway but beware of hidden traps. Greens are definitely punitive, fast but true. The day we went all T-times were filled but play was pretty good, aprox 4 hrs which considering a full roster was fine. Staff is excellent.
If you get a chance to play, do so. The Courses are due to close by June 2022 and do some changes, we’ll see what happens in 2 years.
If it is accommodating to all range of golfers as it has been I’ll be back and let you know.
PS. It’s fairly expensive, but you might want to put it on your bucket list
not impressed save your money
waited until group in front got off 1st green, caught them by 3rd hole, thats all to be said for remander of day 5 and 1/2 hours later, they said course got new owners hope they do something, this course isn't worth 45 dollars greens bad, fairways bad. don't now what else to say. New owners need to make sure they price right for future
