Hole # 8. Awesome !! Photo submitted by strybosch
This is me on one of the more difficult par 5's. If you play it and your a long ball, play it to the right fairway...You can make it...Lol.. Photo submitted by Robert5455343

Beautiful course . Playing from back tee. Go back again!!!
It was a perfect day, I prefer green more faster and they have to refresh the range ball ...but overall it was a 5 Star
Exceptional golf course
Absolutely a great course and in great condition. Always challenging but fair
Great course as always
Only complaint is that the 18th fairway is really wet and the greens could have been cut a little shorter, they were pretty slow in comparison to past rounds. Regardless, love the course
Best value for your money in area
Rolling Oaks is a fun and playable design, on an incredible tract of land. I had played Pine Barrens about ten years earlier, and absolutely loved the course. I found Rolling Oaks to be an easier layout, but no less beautiful, and actually has more dramatic views and greensites in my opinion.
Course conditions were excellent overall, only problem I found were some tees that had not been mowed in a few days, and had gone to seed head. Must have been mowing that day, because that was not an issue on the back nine. Fazio designs are among my favorite, as he uses the natural roll of the terrain so well, designs holes that stun you visually, as well as define the layout. His use of the local rocks and sand waste areas around greensites was artistic but simple, and I thought the par 3 number 8 hole was as beautifully elegant a hole as you’ll find anywhere.
For the price, both of these courses are absolute must plays. Pine Barrens will challenge your entire game, and Rolling Oaks will give you unparalleled beauty in this area. All that, less than an hour drive from the Tampa airport.
The only drawback is a small, somewhat limited clubhouse, but did get a good beer and sandwich following the round. Also, the carts were quite old, and in need of updating/repair. (Ours had a broken windshield, and very soft handling.)
All in all, an A+ must play courses set on a great tract of completely natural land in south central Florida.
Best deal ever
The course was in good condition throughout, greens fairways and bunkers all perfect. Just a great days golf and an overall great deal. Thanks.
Really nice course - we ordered food at the turn which turned out to be painful - took 5 minutes to order and then 20 min when they finally arrived with the food while we were on the 11th hole - very cumbersome
1st time playing the oaks course & was very impressed. The greens had a few bad spots on them but overall were in good shape.
Overall the course is in great shape. A few bare spots. Huge hilly greens. Lots of slope to them. Tough pins today. Downhill putts are tricky. Pick the appropriate tees and you'll have a good time.
Love this course
Love this course, it is my favorite place to play. The course is always in impeccable shape, the layout fits my game and the scenery is beautiful. If I had to pick one thing they could improve, it is to have a practice area for chips and bunker shots. They have a nice Driving Range and several practice greens but no place to practice bunker shots.
Always worth the trip, typically, good pace of play. Maybe it was the group in front, 4 1/2 hrs is to long.
It was another great day playing golf on a great golf course. Wish I could play World Woods every day.
Love World Woods!
This course is awesome. The only reason conditions weren't good today was because they got 6 inches of rain last night so it was cart path only. But still enjoyed a great game on a gem of a course!
cart path only
the worst day ever, did not know that almost all 18 holes were going to be cart path only.the course was very busy with some very slow people, mostly elderly, i had to wait forever to hit a ball from every hole.I had already been on the course 4 hours and could only reach the 12 hole because of how long it took people to walk from and back to the carts. After the 12th hole i decided to pass by the people in front of me expecting to find an opening, did not , everyone in same rut, i went home after 12 holes.
Pretty disappointed to find out all the practice facilities minus the iron range and two putting greens by the first tees were closed. Raining when i got there so course was soaked. Would have chosen another course closer to me like the LPGA Jones course which has similar practice grounds had i known about the former things. Despite being wet, course was gourgeous. Fairways were deep green and full, greens were fast and rolled true. No aerification holes whatsoever. Scenery and elevation changes were superb. Will totally come back again when it's dry, but I'm calling ahead next time to make sure everything is open so i don't make the same mistake twice. All in all, 3/5.
