Wolf at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
About
Forget everything you've heard about that gentler, kinder Pete Dye at Paiute. When you step onto the Wolf Course at the Las Vegas Paiute Resort, the legendary architect with the cold hacker heart returns. And then some. The newest of the three Paiute courses, comes in at a staggering 7,604 yards.
And it's an isolated 7,604 yards. You don't only get lost in your round here. You could almost literally get lost in the desert with a few wrong turns off the cart path. Drives that go flying off target deep into the desert areas are unlikely to found by another human ever. A rattlesnake might be keeping your Pro V1s company for the rest of their days. This is stunning scenery, capable of leaving the most cynical hacker open mouthed.
Paiute Wolf is just a far enough drive away from the Sin City hustle that it's likely the top, high-end course you can easily get on last minute in the Vegas valley. It also might be the best of them all.
Also known as Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort - Kwetoo-Unuv Course.

17th hole "island green" Paiute Wolf Course Photo submitted by RockinDoc on 10/05/2012
Lost Wolf
The course was in great condition and a good length for most holes with the greens being the most challenging as they would not hold the ball no matter how good the shot which made scoring difficult. The course was great however it was very standard resort-style with no WOW factor except the 15th par 3 which was almost worth paying the money to just play this hole.
They needed some of the Bali Hai white wasteland appeal to make the course look better and elevated tees so you could see the layout of the holes better.
Great course, poor pace and dishonest cart crew (barn crew)
Great course and layout and that #15 is special, however they overbooked and it was nearly a 6 hour round. We barely finished. Upon finishing we left some items in the golf cart, 5 min later we returned for our items however the crew said our items were not there and that another customer probably stole the items……yea right. So customers beware
Thevwolf
Best value ver. Exceptionally user friendly for those who do not hit long shots. Ready access to fairways from tees. Greens were awesome etc. will definitely play again
Paiute
amazing courses for a great value. Be aware, it can get very windy and if you miss the fairways the ball is pretty much unplayable (rocks upon rocks). I loved it and so did my friends. Great facility and courses.
A bit blustery!!!
Great course. Just check wind conditions. Dealt with 30-40mph winds affected ball in the air, land and sea. If you’re not playing well it will definitely show. Still a good time.
ProTip: use yellow or pink balls. White balls don’t show up well in the rocks if you’re left and right.
The wolf
Best course I have played in a long time. Course in absolute perfect condition. Can’t wait to play it again. It was definitely a wolf of a course with winds blowing 20+ with gusts to 35.
Golfer
This course is too pricey for a average course. This course is very windy and the range balls are hard like rock.
Good views fun times!
Played here on my birthday, we played through 20mph winds but other than that beautiful coarse to play.
Tour players only!
The greens are way too firm for the average golfer. I hit a half sand wedge from 50 yds on #10 and a 9 iron tio the island green oar 3; those were the only approach shots that stayed on the green. We had 4 groups waiting on the island green oar 3. Absolutely ridiculously slow pace of play. Never going back there!
