Golf Advisor: Top Courses in Nevada
November 25, 2020
The guy at pro shop super nice and very informative. The cart guy was very easy to help me with cart and directions. Starter was very friendly and gave very good advice on how to play the first hole. Played with two guys from Las Vegas and they were very fun. With that being said was a great day on the course even with play being a little slow not terrible and with the group behind us hitting into us on 17 a par 3 as we were driving down the hill and almost hit one of the guys. Not good but what you going to do 17th hole. Still great day on the course.
for seniors only
pretty course, nice views, perfext course conditions. But if you play advance or fast, don't recomend. Most players are seniors and very slow. Starter put a twosome between 2 4somes! Beverage carts are cash only!! so bring cash.
Great views. Lots of homes but not a negative. Greens, bunkers and tee blocks were great. An 8 handicap and the blue tees were tough. Huge elevation changes. Worth playing.
Really nice course!
I play the Canyons course It was well laid out and in really good condition, especially for November. Would definitely play again!
Perfect conditions - beautiful scenery
Thoroughly enjoyed this round of golf! Wide fairways - if you hit the ball reasonably straight, you'll be alright and the fairways mostly funnel to the middle. Lots of elevated tee boxes, which makes for exciting drives - especially on the par 3's. Don't even consider walking - long distances between tee-boxes and lots of elevation changes.
Save the best for last
Did a mini golf trip with a friend and played 3 courses while we were here. The canyon course at Oasis was by far our favorite. Would definitely play this one or the Palmer course if we ventured back to Mesquite Nevada.
Solid track with exceptional staff!
I love Mesquite golf and the Oasis Canyons course is a perfect example why. Solid layout, wonderful weather and staff who make you feel valued. Although the I believe the Canyons sister course, Palmer, is a better golf course, don't sleep on this little gem!!
Great Course and Staff
Could not have asked for better course or a friendlier and helpful staff. This was our 1st golf course on our father & son golf vacation. From dropping our bags off to our final putt on 18 it was a memorable experience.
Great day foe a round!
Sun was hot but the course was good pace so finished early. Staff was outstanding at the club house as well as the bag drop personnel
Very Good Public Course
This course is a very good compliment to the Palmer Course located at the same facility. There are a variety of holes from very challenging to easy. Accuracy off the tee is a must and having a rangefinder with slope is a must since carts do not have gps. It got very windy in the afternoon so book an early round for most playable conditions. The staff is friendly and the range, pro shop and restaurant are very good. This is a must play in the mesquite area along with the adjoining Palmer Course.
This course is just simply amazing! There is a wide variety of Tee shots, from driver to iron. It is very creative the scenery is beautiful and the course was in great shape. The greens were very good and had a Lotta grab. You can tell it was designed by a golf great! I’m looking forward to playing this course again.
Upon arrival, we were going to purchase beverages at the bar. We waited, with no one at the bar, for 15 minutes to be acknowledged. Then ordered and girl said she would be back after taking care of her tables. Restaurant and club are not run together so, strike it up as a lose. Beer cart met us at 1st hole to make up for what happened. We were slow by our own fault. We had a 9 yr old on his very 1st 18 round. We let 3 groups play through. Approached by ranger snapping at us for being too slow. We were the last group on the course. Now mind you we finished at 4 pm. So my suggestion is if you want to play a relaxing steady pace avoid this place at all cost. The 3 course workers I talked to after the round complained about us being way too slow.. NO ONE WAS BEHIND US!!!!! SORRY YOU MISSED YOUR NAP TIME!! I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE THIS PLACE AGAIN!!! IF YOU DON'T LIKE YOUR JOB STAY RETIRED!!!!!!
