Heatherwood Golf Club
About
Heatherwood Golf Club is the sister course to the Pine Hills Country Club, which is a 30-minute drive away in Manorville. It is a short golf course at a little over 4,000 yards but the layout offers excellent short game practice. It is also a good test of your iron play. There are no par 5s but the golf course has an interesting variety of reachable par 4s and challenging par 3s. Mature trees are abundant throughout the course, specifically concentrated along the fairways. One of the most unique holes is the 11th, which features an optical illusion that causes players to line up in a way that makes their balls go to the right. The trick is to adjust your stance slightly left but even if you are still off the green is mercifully large and forgiving.

First round in months.
Great afernoon. 18 in 3hrs....lots more to come. Have to play here again. Greens are in great shape.
I like this course but it really needs to be cleaned up. Too many trees are down and there are branches all over the course. I know it was a bad winter but clean it up.
1st day out 2018
Excellent weather , golf course was in good shape for this time of year
Great greens and very good sand traps
This is an executive course with 12 par 3's and 6 shorter par 4's. Many of the par 3's are 175 yards or longer making them challenging. Greens are above average in size and traps are on the sides only, so can be avoided by hitting straight or long. Greens are in Excellent shape making putting true and enjoyable.
The terrain is hilly and many shots are uphill or down hill adding some difficulty. Most of the par 4's are doglegs, so they play longer.
Little deep rough and few trees come into play, so most bad shots allow for a reasonable recovery.
All in all this was a fun golf course to play. Always nice to shoot in the 70's, even if the par was only 60!
Excellent executive style course 4000 yards
This is a great course for anyone that wants to brush up on their iron game and for beginners.
This is a tree lined course that has perfectly groomed fairways with NO DIVOTS on the entire course. The greens are divot free and are in great condition. The bunkers are also in. Wet. Ice condition. The only rough area are the tee boxes but that is to expected due to the inability to move the location of the tee box locations.
Overall it's a place I tecywhen you don't have the time for.a 5 hour round and enjoy playing with your irons. There are 5 holes that you can swing away with your driver.
A Long Island Gem
Great course to practice your short game. However, there are at least 4 challenging par 4 holes. By no means are the par 3s easy. Course is always in great shape and beautifully laid out.
