Best track in town!
Love this course! Always great conditions and a challenge to boot! I play once a month and always enjoy myself. I’ll be back.
Great Course, indifferent staff
Golf Club of Houston is a wonderful course; it is always well maintained and challenging to play. We played on a Saturday and expected the course to be packed- which it was- but the place of play was good (4 hr 35 min round).
After checking in we went outside to get a cart, they were out. We went back inside to notify the pro shop staff member about the cart situation, but he couldn't be bothered. He didn't call back to the cart barn or make an effort to do anything helpful, like explain the situation. So we waited 15 minutes for a cart to arrive, which cut into our time to warm up before teeing off. The baggage strap on our cart was broken so had to exchange it on the range--- that caused more confusion but the starter was at least able to get another cart..
I expect Saturdays to be busy and understand some players prefer one to a cart due to COVID-19, but the lack of carts isn't the problem. The issue was the indifference from the pro shop staff to be helpful.
If you want a golf course that has strict or semi-strict Covid protocols this is not the golf course for you. It is an amazing course and everything was great except when checking in the man inside the pro shop was not wearing a mask while talking to you and taking your payment. The young woman in the on course litttle snack shop also wore no mask. The starter who was very close to you telling you where to go also wore no mask. I would recommend this course but not during Covid. Wait to play it until we are no longer in a pandemic with new recent rising numbers.
Very nice course
On Golfnow it showed my price was $100. When I arrived it was $150. I was only able to play 9 holes due to the weather. Definitely to expensive for 9 holes. Staff was friendly, members look at you like you are a peasant. There is nicer courses for the money!
Great value on Hot Deals
Naturally, being the old Houston Open Venue this course has all that is needed for a great experience. At $60-80 this is great value. Recommended.
Amazing facility and extremely friendly staff!
This was my first time golfing here, I just started golfing this year and this course is definitely at the top of my list as a favorite. The facility is gorgeous and very well kept. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Will be golfing here again in the near future.
We enjoyed all aspects of the course, except the new cart pickup procedures. The cart shuttle we had to wait on was mainly dedicated to transporting employees, rather than players. It was not a good start to an otherwise fun golf day. Course conditions were excellent.
Had a wonderful time at GCoH for our friend Bobby’s birthday. Course was in great shape especially the greens. Only issue we had was with the starter asking us to pay for an extra cart b/c 2 of us didn’t want to share a cart due to Covid19. What a joke!?! Other than that, a great place for the price we paid thru tee off!!
Big beautiful golf course-impeccably maintained
A little intimidating the first round played last week but returned this week because the course is challenging, beautiful and so well manicured.
Started on the White tees but soon realized the Red tees would play better for me due to the distance over primitive areas on some holes. (Female golfer 12 Hdcp).
Dropped 4 strokes on second round knowing better how much extra club to take for hazards/humidity/wind etc.
Really enjoyed the rounds here and will play again on my next trip to Houston.
This is a top notch course!
