Horrible condition
This course has a nice layout, but the condition of the course is worse than horrible l!! The greens are mostly dirt and there’s only some grass in the fairways. The cost to play there is ridiculous!! It’s truly not worth any more than maybe $5. I’m sure at some point it was nice but the truth of the matter is it’s in horrible shape. I would NOT recommend playing it!! The man in the clubhouse was not very receptive and has a personality of a rattle snake...just sayin. No worries we’ll never play there again. We’ve never been treated that disrespected ever.
VERY BAD CONDITIONS
Our foursome agreed this is the worst course we have ever played. The greens were a joke with patches of grass and bare sand, very little grass in the fairways and rough. Hope the new owners can do something about the conditions, but will never go back.
What Happen To The Putting Greens?
I last played Pine Ridge in December and the course was in pretty good shape. Yesterday the putting greens were horrible. Most of the grass was actually gone. Some of the tee boxes needed some attention also. I have always liked Pine Ridge so I hope that it is a temporary setback. I will say that they were worse in 2012. Then it was like putting on the lunar surface and the rest of the course was just as bad.
Greens
Absolutely absurd they are charging what they are when the greens are in horrible shape. Patches of grass, and hard ground/sand. I heard the course got better so I gave it another chance. $30 is just way too much for such unacceptable greens. I really hope they get this course together.
Lousy
This is the Worst ⛳ course I think I've ever played. Nothing but Hard pan on the fairways the greens are very small and lots of Fungus not worth the $ I spent on it. DON'T play this course you will be very disappointed.
Needs work
Greens are in bad shape except 18 but it's right by the road rest of course had some ruff spots and needs work
Nice course
This is a nice course with great potential. The greens, for the most part, are a work in progress. There are a few bare spots in the fairways. Other than that, this course is very good. Great layout.
The day we played, the course had very few people playing. We finished 18 in under 3 1/2 hrs. Staff very friendly. Will be returning soon.
The course is in transition.. I understand the course has either new owners or under new management. The greens are "all" under some sort of repair, but for the most part are still "puttable". We played a scramble format and had a great day!
Nice layout, needs improvement on the greens
Not an overly long course but can play longer as many holes have uphill approach shots. This course was closed for a while and conditions are taking longer to repair damaged areas. The greens were the most need in repair but that was only be a handful, the fairways were a little thin and the rough was nonexistent as due to when they were closed these areas were not taken care of and now there is many bare lies. The front 9 is pretty wide open and the back narrows up as you head to the finish. The owners are trying not only with course conditions but activities in and around the club.Reasonable green fees.A variety of tees for all abilities and ages.
Great layout
First time playing. Fun layout, hilly, homes are set way back so feels like playing in nature. Greens we're in good shape, fairways a bit spotty but acceptable. Seams like new owners on right path to bring back to past glory. Really an enjoyable experience, I will be returning again!!
Good Value
This is the first course that I played golf almost eight years ago so I am a bit partial. It is under new management and it shows. The greens use to look like the lunar surface and now they are almost fully recovered. The rough was horrible in the past. Now you can hit out of them so much easier. No, it is not perfect but you are not paying fees like you would at Skyview or World Woods. It is a good course for the price.
Course could you some help
Course should be in better shape but enjoyed the price and pace of play..
The driving range interfered with one of the fairways. Balls from range were actually in the fairway. The second cut and greens needed attention.
Over ated
I said this course is over rated and I mean it. The last time playing this course was almost a year ago and the course was in bad shape and not worth the drive. Late this summer I checked out some newer reviews and was pleasantly surprised to see that the place had gotten a 3 to 4 star rating. I booked this course for play today and I can honestly say a rating of 2 is fair. Most of the greens are in good shape, better than ever really, but 2 and 4 were in really bad shape, and a few others need a little TLC. Many tee boxes are worn down to the nub and then some. I was really surprised to see how bad some fairways were, crabgrass, holes and bare patches. The front was rough, but the back fairways12,14, 16,17 &18 were rough enough to jar you out of the cart if you went at anything over a walking pace. Back in the day some 20 years ago this was a good course to play and I hope the new owners finally get it in shape sometime in the near future. Until then I'll play somewhere else and warn other players about these conditions.
Meh...
Dont ask for a rain check, staff gets sassy. Greens are pretty crap.
