Good Deal & Track!
NEW CARTS!!!! YIPPEE!!!
All good! Course is looking good, Greens fast! Bunkers, So So!
Good Bang For The Buck!
Prepping course for the Annual City Championship! Greens will become faster, low cut & rolled! Bunkers have been trimmed, but no sand! The usual status!
Course played well & fair!
Fairway Grass was too long
The course was fine with one exception - the fairway grass was too long. We lost several balls in the middle of the fairways because we couldn't locate them!! Other than that the course was nice and quite a challenge.
Fairways Need Mowed
Fairways were WAY TOO LONG. Lost several balls that were in the middle of the fairway.
Good Deal & Track! Bunkers, SAD!
Modesto has NO pride in their course, bunkers are the worst in the valley!!!
Good Bang For The Buck!
Greens are coming along nicely, wish Modesto would have some pride in their course, Bunkers are the worst! If they won't supply sand, turn them into Grass Bunkers!!!! Just a thought!
Squirrels are a great problem, destroying the course from within!
Carts
Course is in great shape the only down side is for some reason they can’t get the carts figured out. They have a bunch in shed that I assume are broke but have been broken for a year it seems. Creekside needs to make it clear to call to reserve a cart. Lots of angry people when I played.
Good Deal & Track! Bunkers, SAD!
Bunkers are the worst ever! Totally soaked & Hard as rocks! Modesto City takes no pride in this area!
Fairways are looking good! Greens have been punched, but, hopefully will be back to speed in a few weeks!
Overall a good course to play!
Golf
Greens were sanded but not the reason for no birdies. Behind a foursome that wouldn’t let my 2some thru they were merely two hole behind. They only played nine holes. Played the back side fast without catching the group in front of us. Ended up playing in 3:45 minutes. All in all a very good day on the course
Hot day no carts.
I have played Creekside golf course for about 20 years.. Staff members are usually very Accommodating. And course is usually in good condition.. I selected a reservation a day before I arrived a 1/2 hour early. My golf partner arrived an hour early.
Waited a hour and a 1/2 for a golf cart did not have any available was told they were for tournament on weekend.. Employee wanted to give us a round of golf for next time asked us to play 9 holes and then pick a golf cart after. seen 5 players.singles and 2 persons Behind us driving carts I called was told they were only good for 9 holes.
I explained earlier I would walk back to get a cart.. Play the 9 holes in 90 to plus degrees weather.
Another employee said, first employee was gone for the day. I should have stayed if I wanted a cart nothing he can do as I watched more carts being given away.. Play 3 more holes on the back 9 and then had to stop. I don't mind walking sometimes when it is cooler. I've had surgeries on my feet and very difficult to walk at this time.. I know it is costly maybe get new batteries new golf carts or charge as they come in or have a sign at front desk saying sorry for the inconvenience no golf carts available walk only.. Also plugged in sandy greens does not have that on line or in shop should not be paying full price.
Good Value & Beautiful Venue
We were fortunate in that it was a beautiful day, high 70s with a nice breeze. The course is located amongst several canyons isolating it from the greater bay area....a really beautiful setting. For a senior, the rate was fair, $36 but they did charge $17 each for the cart instead of one $17 charge. The course was in good shape, greens were a little slow but overall really enjoyed the course, challenging enough for a 17 handicapper. I would definitely recommend to friends.
Didn’t even get to play!
They were over 30 mins behind schedule and didn’t have carts…even though the reservation included cart! Total disappointment, drove over an hour to meet with friend to play golf & didn’t even get a chance to play bc we needed the cart & could not wait any longer to get one. I really love this course and was so looking forward to playing there…totally disappointed with mismanagement of facilities and equipment.
Great Course
Fun day out golfing. Course was a little wet but understandable with the rain. Greens were pure.
Only wish the pace of play was a bit faster. But grateful to be out there.
Great muni course
First time playing this course. Couldn’t say enough good about it. It was a well kept fun muni course. I wasn’t expecting an Augusta style maintenance, but I have no complaints. I wasn’t worried about greens that blend into the fairway, or janky green surfaces like dirt piles, or damaged/ patchy greens. It’s a straight forward course with moderate trouble. My only issues are with sand traps. Fairly hard (which probably saved me from getting plugged), people stealing my ball if I’m off the fairway and people fishing in the middle of the field along some of the water. But the last two is a people thing, not the course.
No carts
For the second time we booked through GolfNow at a price that included cart and for the second time in a row they had no carts. After waiting 30 minutes for a carts, one of the carts battery was dying after 7 holes. Once again Modesto’s lack of concern for entertainment is shown.
Good value for the $$
The play was slow, a group of 6 was in front of us, the bathrooms were all locked, the cart was dying and we had to push it up hill before the 9th hole, but other than that is was a fun day on a laid back course.
