Clearwater Country Club
About
Located just minutes from the beach, the conveniently situated Clearwater Country Club sprawls across a coastal landscape of Spanish moss-draped trees and towering, mature oaks. Stevenson Creek meanders through the golf course, coming into play on six holes. Built in 1920, the layout has a traditional design that is challenging but fair. The course is tight but it plays long, especially on the par 5s. The rolling fairways are well manicured and the greens play at medium speed and are consistently well maintained. Clearwater C.C. actually has a reputation amongst locals for its superb conditions. It is also popular with visitors, snowbirds specifically, since the club offers the area's only seasonal and short-season membership with exclusive privileges. It is also one of the few clubs in the area that allows walking.

CCC
Awful conditions - some greens had softball sized craters, fairways looked abysmal, and very inconsistent greens. The starter was gone all day and pace was terrible - the ‘rangers’ were 18 year old kids aimlessly driving golf carts around.
have played there many times before. the course was in great shape. pretty much had the place to my self, had time to take a couple of extra shots. wish the price was a bit lower.
Clearwater CC rain check ?
Played fours holes. Waited out rain for 45 min. Course closed and would issue rain check. Rest of the afternoon was hot and sunny. Ok with closing course by why no rain checks.
Decent course needs a marshall
Pace was awful. Lost 2 at the turn and luckily the slow group let us play through with 2 holes wide open in front of them. Ranger could have solved it really quick.
played this course many times over the years. first time playing from the green tees. most enjoyable, would play here again.
Challenging course
Bring lots of balls as one needs to be bang on or your in the water
No JD!
This was the first time I've played here since April.
The greens were in great shape and rolled nicely. (of course, it didn't help my putting, Lol), and the fairways were good, too, thanks to the recent rain.
I had a couple of Golf Buddies from Houston play, and they enjoyed the round.
I'll be back!
review
Clearwater CC was in excellent condition....fast greens, nice wide manicured fairways. ......the rough is not to penal, with just amount of high grass and trees.....water does come into play on several holes so a layup shot should be considered......nice course, love to return again someday.....
Enjoyed!
The tee boxes and greens were in excellent shape. The fairways for the midle of July were pretty good, just some patches of thinness and weeds.
Great Course, Great Price, will play again
Great little course. Nothing too crazy here, not going to be a US open course, but if you want a good solid day golfing where you can not rip your hair out, this place is solid.
Great course, Good people
Friendly staff and a well kept course. Very challenging but playable for the average golfer. Highly recommend this course!!!
Mainly wide open golf
Some trees, creeks and ponds to add challenge to your tee shots but all-in-all a very nice layout course. I think I must commend on the condition of the greens. They are very well-maintained! Must try!
Good Greens and Tees
The greens, although sloping, are in great condition and true. The tees are well maintained. Perhaps due to the lack of rain, the fairways were not at he same level as the greens and tees. The staff was super...especially the starter, Paul.
