Whispering Oak at Verandah

Heavy, onduliert and fast Greens, excellent Fairways. One of the best Golf-Courses i ever played. Nice Community. Everything excellent. We will com back?

Second time I played this course (and the Old Orange once). Vey nice setup. Restaurant, well stocked Pro shop and very nice greens. Water coolers and ice machines around and needed here in SWFL. They called an 11.3 stimp on the 1st tee sign and certainly that. Had me with a 3 some but let me go early alone so a great practice round to learn the course more.

The course was in great condition. Tricky greens with a tough pin placement. Can't wait to play it again.

very challenging, nothing for an average golf player. Greens very, if not too tricky to putt. Long course and hard to reach greens with 2 strokes at Par 4's. One time to play this course is enough. Will not try it again!

I love this course and to be able to use Golfnow.com to obtain tee times is perfect. Not only that, but relatively inexpensive for that course. Great practice facility.

We played Whispering Oaks golf course at the Verandah. Course was in great shape and very enjoyable. The greens were very difficult with the undulation and pin placements. A few of the greens seem to be getting infested with red ants but there was not any damage to them...yet. I think it was 16-18 greens because I know it was toward the end of the round when we noticed lots and lots of ants.

Fabulous course in fantastic condition. Very scenic and well taken care of.the greens are very fast and extremely challenging .

Would definitely play again

Great course off the beaten path, i would recommend it to good players.

I was most impressed by the friendliness of the pro shop staff and the starter. They truly made an effort to make you feel welcome.
Course was in excellent condition in particular fast and true greens with a few nasty pin positions.

Course has extremely tough greens, and extremely fast

This golf course is in very good condition, the greens were excellent, and tees available for all players. I will return if able to get a reasonable price for this course and look forward to playing again.

Tricked up greens. Too many waste areas - especially disappointing when they were close to the greens on a # of holes.

this course is in excellent shape but prepare you to 3 putting....

Fair off the tee.....but greens are very tricky. Jack went overboard on his false fronts and false sides.

Whispering Oak is a long course. We found it to be a challenge and lost a lot of balls. We had never golfed on this course before and wished we had had more hole description information on our scorecard. We were surprised at the gravel bunkers and pathways. We golfed as a threesome after 3:00 pm and finished in less than four hours. It was a great experience .

We played Whispering Oak for the first time and were very pleased with the course layout and conditions. Tee boxes and fairways were lush and well maintained and greens were fast and ran true. Course is challenging but landing areas are well placed and most greens are visible from the tee area.Putting downhill can be a challenge so ball placement is critical on some greens. Staff were helpful and overall service was great. Good golf experience!

The greens were great very fast.
Missed having GPS on carts for the price of the course and no course map on score card.

Nice course but not as good as I expected. Too many waste bunkers that were unusually large and detracted from overall look of course .
