Timacuan Golf Club

This course used to be my favorite course but it's not looking as good as it used to and the greens need some work on some of the holes and apparently the aerated but it wasn't reflected on golf now showing it had been aerated.

I have not played Timacuan in a few years and had high hopes as it is one of my favorite layout courses. Warming up the mats were kind of nasty, not well unkept but it was manageable. Staff was great from the starter, to the cart girls, to the pro shop, all A+, just was let down by the actual course conditions. The rough was patchy sand spots everywhere, and greens were inconsistent. Pace of play was good and staff was great, but the course upkeep definitely needs some work before I will want to go back to play again,

First off, I'm your weekend golfer, and honestly to preface, I could care less about course deficiencies, all I want to see are good greens and I feel I can have a good round.

Staff is fine, everything was cool on that end. The course however, forget about it. They've lost it. Greens were somewhat still aerated, which is whatever, but charging almost 70 dollars a round for that and no notifications? Unacceptable.

And by lost it, the actual course is in awful shape. Fairways, T boxes, Greens, all were under major repair or in need of some serious attention. It looked like one of the courses on it's last leg before they either shut it down completely or it goes off the grid for a year or two for a full make over.

The course has seen better days. I would pay $35 around and feel OK but not $65 or above.

I’ve played this course for years , that being said it will be a long time before I come back the head groundskeeper needs to go back to flipping burgers because he sure can’t keep grass growing , I understand summer in Florida but this is ridiculous , the greens awful the fairways worse , the tee boxes laughable , and 65 dollars are you kidding me !!! I can not believe this course will be open in 6 months unless drastic changes happen STAY AWAY play in you backyard it will be more enjoyable !!

Just played this course.
It it extremely dry and the greens were mix of somewhat green and brown from lack of water. The greens were very bumpy due to recent aeration.
Also noticed weeds in the greens. Most fairways were brown.
As we were playing, the maintenance tech was out there watering the fairways. For $65 , expectations fell short of what you would think the course should be considering the next local course is $30 and much better shape.
This course considering it’s conditions should be maybe $40 until they do more maintenance to bring it back.
They need to get busy and bring the course back to compete with all the other choices around Seminole County.

Course was very dry and the greens were aerated and sanded so putting was a big challenge.

I have been playing Timacuan for over 15 years. The conditions are the worse that I have ever seen. Brown thin grass in the fairways ,bare spots on many of the greens.
It is a real shame USED TO BE a GREAT course.
Hopefully it will come back.

Once upon a time this track boasted some of the best conditions coupled with an amazing layout. That has since gone by the wayside as this course seems to struggle to even keep the smallest patches of grass alive.

I don’t know what happened to this place over the last few years but they are over charging for what they have. Was told greens were punched 2 weeks ago but when I got out there they looked like they were punched just the other day. Not one green was even half decent. The fairways are burnt to a crisp with dirt spots everywhere.

I hope someone comes to the rescue to save this place from the current ownership. If not I fear it will just get worse... RIP Timacuan

When I went it had been recently aerated which wasn’t as much fun as it could have been. With that being said, I still wasn’t highly impressed with everything else. Carts are nice though!

They lost this course, its in absolute horrible shape. Hitting every shot of battered tee boxes into sand in the fairways, and their recent aeration went very bad, But also, just little things like the bathrooms being deplorable. Timacuan was our gem and home course, they may need to find someone else to manage it as they are doing one heck of a poor job.

Greens were punched and not a mention on the booking site. Not cool.

I have played this course many times over the past 10 years and have watched it deteriorate. The greens are very bad condition, the fairways are hard and the grass is spotty.

Basically putting on sand you watch your ball leave a dust trail

I noticed people left a bad review due to pace of play, like it’s the courses faukt? We just played 18 on Mother’s Day in less then 3 hours. Everyone was friendly, the greens just got sanded due to the air rating but they told us up front and it was a lot of fun to play, some great unique holes, they have a little bbq Sunday to Thursdays and it was cheap and real good too.

Highly recommend the course and certainly not listening to some of the negative Nancy reviews!!!

I wish I would have known of the conditions of the green.

Was hit into twice in the same round. They also had 2 tournaments going on in the time I was playing. No direction when going on the course. 8 carts were on the first tee leaving me to make the decision to start on the back which was were the first tournament was being played. Never going back again plus the greens where in terrible condition.
