Silver Dollar Golf & Trap Club - Gator/Panther Course
About
Located just northwest of Tampa, Silver Dollar Golf & Trap Club sprawls across the lush landscape of the west Florida coast. The club offers three nines: the Gator, the Panther, and the Bobcat. The nines can be played individually for a quick round or in three different 18-hole combinations. The Gator/Panther layout offers a good balance of challenges and player-friendly features. Narrow, tree-lined fairways are complemented by generous landing areas. There are sparkling lakes and ponds that come into play on a few holes and strategically placed bunkers are situated along the greensides. In addition to the three golf courses, Silver Dollar boasts one of the area's most extensive practice facilities, which includes a full driving range, two putting greens, a pitching and chipping green with a sandtrap, and three practice holes.

Slow thursday
Starter said Thursday are a group/league. He was right! Left after 4 hours... did not finish. Pick another day.
Goat Track
This is the definition of a goat track. The fairways were almost non-existent. Around the greens where deadpan and the greens were barely in tack.
Plan on moving your ball around to find grass and playing several greens as a two putt as they are in poor shape.
Course condition
Staff was very friendly. Course is in very poor condition. No grass on fairways to speak of. Greens are passable but just passable. Bunkers are hard and haven’t been raked in a while. Not worth the hour drive to get there. Depended on previous reviews and was disappointed when they didn’t hold up to what I read. Would not recommend in its current condition.
Water… lots of water
Not a bad course, greens bumpy, fairways are acceptable in most places but, there is a ton of water. But overall not a bad course and definitely enjoyed it
Good Value
Got a deal where this was half the price of most the courses I play. It was worth the money. Nothing spectacular but in good enough shape with some challenging holes
Beautiful Day
Weather perfect! Play a little slow, but we we’re okay with it. A little soggy in spots, but doable. Will play again for sure
Decent course for the money
Not the best bang for buck but pretty decent value in the winter season. Wish there wasn’t a gun range across the street though.
