About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in Jun 2018.
Located in Lehigh Acres, Mirror Lakes Golf Club originally opened in 1958 as part of Admiral Lehigh Resort. It's one of the area's oldest courses. The club was re-founded in 1970 and got a new name and look. From the back tees, the golf course stretches to just over 7,200 yards for a par of 73. It's more difficult than the original design but it's also more fun. The course is long and mostly wide-open. Overall, it's player friendly enough for players of any skill level. Despite what its name would imply, sand comes into play more than water. The 11th is Mirror Lakes Golf Club's signature hole. This unique par 6 features a heavy smattering of out-of-bounds and bunkers along both sides of the fairway as well as a heavily guarded green. From the back tees, the hole will challenge even the best golfers.

good value
Course was in decent shape, and staff were friendly and helpful. greens were a little slow. fairways and rough were a little thin but playable
So so Course.
The two biggest complaints are tee times are booked too close together and hazards are not marked at all. Also, the tee boxes could be marked better. All white with a little bitty stripe to let you know which one you're at.
We didn't get started until 20 min. past our tee time. After the first hole, thankfully, it moved at a good pace.
Nice layout
Took two hours to play first four holes, we quit after nine. Half hour per hole is crazy!!!!!!
Great Day
Weather was perfect. Hooked up with three men. No one in front of us entire round. That is hoe golf is supposed to be played. Course was in good condition. Had a Great Day.
A volume golf course
This course only survives with volume rounds given the low pricing. Conditions OK. Greens small but we're firm and fast. Fairways lacking TLC.
If looking for an inexpensive round on a forgiving golf course this may be your choice but keep in mind the low pricing attracts a lot of value I.e. Cheap golfers.
Slow
Course could be good if it got some TLC. Pace of play was horrid, 5+ hours. Don't paly unless you have all day. Pace was not monitored that we saw. Bunkers need work, sand.
Overbooked tee times!
The course itself was nice.
They way overbooked the tee times. It took almost 6 hours to play 18 holes! We spent more time waiting to play golf than we did golfing!
Pace of play poor, bunkers no sand
No rangers, no beverage cart, and beginning players that have no clue what to do. Nearly a 5 hour round. The course isn't bad, and the greens OK. The bunker have NO sand!
A couple of long par 5's make the course challenging. But overall a good value.
PS: at the turn we tried tog et some beers at the "clubhouse" - bartender was not interested in helping us. She was in deep conversation on her cell phone. After waiting 10 mins we just left. And we never saw a beverage cart. Sort of takes away from the experience...
Long round
Booked for 12:52 tee time. As singleton was paired up with nice threesome. They were ahead of me with tee time of 12:37. 30-40 minute bag line to get off 1st tee even though everyone had scheduled times. They had booked two foursomes for 12:30. Pace of play was hideous. I could only play for four hours, and barely finished the 14th hole, with two foursomes waiting to hit on the 15th tee. Found out later that entire round took 5:15 to play.
Course was at best average, with greens at this time covered in sand. Problem also was that white tees were almost 6600 yds. with next shorter tee only at 5700, nothing in between. Most people felt that they needed some form of an intermediate tee. Price was reasonable, being lowest priced course in Southwest Florida, except for executive courses. Traps varied from very little sand to too much sand.
Mirror lake
Must be overbooking tee times, waited 45 minutes to tee off, course was full, but pace of play was good, just slow to get started
Worth playing
Surprising golf course in Lehigh. Nice layout, good greens and very friendly stuff.
Sunrise tee time
Got the earliest tee time available (7am) and get around the course in 2 hours. At that time of the morning, the machines are still out on some greens and fairways, so some waiting, but overall able to get through without hassle.
Course is in reasonable condition, lots of un-repaired ball marks on many greens, but for this price, at that time of day, in the middle of the season, I won't complain.
Good value
Paid $29/round for a 10:22 tee time. I have played this course the last three years in Dec. The rye grass was starting to sprout for the snow birds in Jan. The greens were in good shape. Only thing they need to do is mark the tee boxes better on the par 3's
Nice layout ... substandard maintenance
I play here 2-3 times a year (member at another local course). I like the course layout. It is challenging from the Blue and White tees due to length to the ideal fairway location. Many holes have water left or right but never both. Relatively flat, with some hills which make for blind approach shots. Overall, the layout is fair IF you pick the correct tees for you - 4 sets. Double digit should go to gold but low teens can play the whites. No blind tee shots but some have tight landing areas.
My biggest complaint is that bunkers have little to no sand or its several inches deep. My last round there, the deep sand had furrows several inches deep - deeper than they were wide.
Excellant course ,great value, will play again
Mirror Lakes
I called the golf course twice the day before around noon and was told that no one answered in the pro shop.
I wanted to find out about course conditions, no one could answer.
When we checked in the lady working the desk was having a personal conversation on the phone while we checked in. No wonder no one answers.
I interrupted her to ask about water and ice. The water container was empty.
The course has a nice layout, with tons of bunkers full of clay like sand. Greens were pretty bumpy with grass mixed with weeds.
Greens need some wowrk
overall course is ok. The greens have been infiltrated with some kind of week and lots of weeks in the rough making striking the ball difficult. No sand in the sand traps. They were like clay when wet.
