About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in Jun 2018.
Located in Lehigh Acres, Mirror Lakes Golf Club originally opened in 1958 as part of Admiral Lehigh Resort. It's one of the area's oldest courses. The club was re-founded in 1970 and got a new name and look. From the back tees, the golf course stretches to just over 7,200 yards for a par of 73. It's more difficult than the original design but it's also more fun. The course is long and mostly wide-open. Overall, it's player friendly enough for players of any skill level. Despite what its name would imply, sand comes into play more than water. The 11th is Mirror Lakes Golf Club's signature hole. This unique par 6 features a heavy smattering of out-of-bounds and bunkers along both sides of the fairway as well as a heavily guarded green. From the back tees, the hole will challenge even the best golfers.

Don't forget to say hello to "wild Bill" the starter!! Photo submitted by Robyn6520962 on 10/14/2012
Very good value for the $$$ wonderful Course Marshall
Interesting course layout ...... some of the ponds are loadd with alligators basking along the shoreline.
I'm a high handicapper and played from the white tees ..... this was a mistake.
My wife lost a head cover from her new set of clubs .... she reported this to the course Marshall who made it his mission to look for it ..... he was successful! Happy wife = Happy lif
Terribly substandard course
5 1/4 hours to play. Minimum of 3 groups on every hole including par 3s. Joined up with the group in front of us on virtually every hole. BAD condition. Uneven tee off areas, lack of grass on fairways, have to play rake and place in traps - you might get a hernia trying to rake the sand or should I say soil, ball does not sit up at all, sand based such that if you don't pick the ball completely clean it goes nowhere. Greens have patches of mowed weeds and burnout for the mostpart and are slow. In total, probably the worse course I have ever played. Disgusting that it is even allowed to be on Golf Now. Do yourself a favour and do not sign up to play this whatever you want to call it. I prefer not to refer to it as a course....maybe a farm masquerading as a course.
Very late commencing our round 35minutes late and as such finished in the dark. Waited on almost every tee box
Decent course and fun to play. Ladies don't get much advantage compared to other courses.
was very surprised , better then I expected , would recommend this course , good price
Slow Pace
Decent course, but the pace of play is consistently slow.
Love the first hole at sunrise
If you can arrange to play this course with a sunrise tee time - DO IT. Teeing off into the rising sun with virgin dew on the fairway is almost a religious experience. Greens are in pretty darn good condition for a public course and stimp about 9 (I brought my own stimp stick along).
Almost all the greenside bunkers could really do with a half a dump truck of added sand and a good raking; they were not yet raked even by the end of my round.
Interesting Sightings: There were about 9 juvenile (3 to 4 foot) alligators in the pond near hole 6, really quite a sight.
Great Course - Overbooked
We have been playing this course for 7 years now. This is the first year Golf Now has been managing the bookings and it appears that they are allowing massive overbooking., We departed the course after 4 holes and 1 Hour 30 mins play and with 18 players waiting on hole 5 tee. We have completed a round with 2 players in 3.5 hours. Went to Pro Shop and complained and advised us to report it in this review. Beware booking times after Noon. We also appreciate that some players have no golf etiquette with no respect for others waiting behind which causes delays..
Slow
We had a 1:00 tee time and did not begin play until 1:47.
Slow pass, never saw a Ranger on course to encourage faster pass.
Bathrooms not clean and in need of repair.
Late start.
Late start. Pro shop staff person was texting on phone while conducting business
slow, slow, slow
We started 15 min late, due to serious congestion on course, It took 3 hours to play the front nine, I won't be going back
Good value
Good value for the money. Sand could use some attention. Not a hard course but stil challenging.
4 1/2 hours for 15 holes. No ranger sent when requested due to open holes
