Briar Bay Golf Course
About
Briar Bay Golf Course, opened in 1975, is an affordably priced executive course that stretches out over 30 acres. The course presents challenges for all players, beginning to advanced. The layout features elevated greens that are small and fast, narrow fairways that are protected with bunkers. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. Although it is located near a residential area the course promises an interesting layout that goes in every direction. Briar Bay Golf Course facility lacks some of the amenities of a private club, but they do boast a practice green and a clubhouse.

Two bag requirement
If you’re playing with a household member and you pay for two players they make you rent a bag of clubs. Silly.
Very nice
Very nice course, I will come back ASAP
Maintenance improved a lot
The staff are very nice
Affordable
I like to play in the mornings, not too crowd.
Perfect short course for beginner
Took my girlfriend as a beginner and perfect 9 holes for her. Good condition and challenging enough. Would recommend to all beginners male and female alike.
Great value
Recently improved with the addition of a gravel cart path. Fairways and greens were in decent shape. Still suffers from a red ant infestation on certain fairways and tee boxes but as long as you watch your step, you’ll manage. This isn’t a challenging course so if that’s what you’re looking for, this isn’t for you but if you want to get some on-course practice at a value, Briar Bay is tough to beat.
A lot of water
Tight course with a lot of water, short game has to be on point at this course
Great 9 hole
This little gem is maintained great for the money. The pace is good despite having people walking mixed in with people riding. Great layout with some challenging holes but forgiving overall. Friendly staff, no restaurants/clubhouse really.
Very nice
Very nice. 9 holes to practice. Grass had an upgrade since my last visit. I will come back soon
Really fun course, cheap and in great condition!
Used to play this course as a kid and remember how horrible of condition this course used to be in the early 90's. Especially the first green used to be a rock quarry. They have fixed these issues and the course is in the best condition I have ever played it. Super fun, cheap and can complete within 2 hours.
Course staff should be fired
I played on New Year’s Day with my daughter. I made my tee time on the golf now app I paid for 18 holes and a cart for a twosome.
Upon arrival the clubhouse guy was a complete jerk. He told me that I still needed to pay for my tee time and wanted to argue about it for five minutes. After he found my reservation he realized that it was actually pre-paid on golf now. He then went on about 6 foot blondes in South Beach in front of my daughter. it was completely insulting. He then went on to say it doesn’t matter what I think I got off of golf now I only get nine holes and a cart and that it is a me problem not a him. problem. We played our nine holes and left immediately. I highly recommend you avoid playing this golf course and if anybody else dealt with these guys I hope they get reported.
