New Albany Golf
Would recommend to everyone, had a good time and play was fast and ran into no one the whole day even though parking lot was full
What a Round!
I played this course recently, and wow, what a day. The weather was beautiful, and the staff is top notch. I spoke with the course owner, Cary, and hey said they were going to be replacing all the sand in the bunkers, but he got a good deal on sod (excess from the University of Louisville's new soccer field playing surface) and had it already installed and being watered. It looks like great grass, and if it is good enough for competitive colelgiate athletics, I'd think it will hold up great to golfers like me. The rest of the course was playing well too. 9 Green is still coming along, maybe another winter will take care of it, but it is back open, which is fun to go after to finish. And it doesn't hurt that I shot the best score I have shot all year. Great day of golf. Thanks to the staff and the Grounds crew.
Bring lunch, dinner, and a snack...
Slow play... 4 twosomes, but singles must pair up.
Value for money
#18 green in bad shape. Overall for $15 a great value.
Friendly course with nice layout features.
Range of difficulties easy to trying. Good test for moderate golf ears.
Currently in terrible shape
It is currently like playing in a cow pasture. uneven greens, bare earth comprise large spots of fairways, and generally unmaintained course. The course would definitely benefit from a few days of rain, but the fairways right now are completely dried out if there is even grass on them.
Great for beginners
I am a beginner golfer and this course is close to home so I wanted to try it out. It's definitely not anything extraordinary but it gives you an idea of different terrain and obstacles on each hole. Fairways are very open so if you're like me and have a bit of a slice you can continue to play and not have to play best ball or drops. Overall a really good value for the money.
great time
Played this coarse 7 or 8 times last year. Greens were in surprisingly good shape for this early in the season. Fairways need some more sunshine, but nothing a few good weeks of spring won't cure! Had a great ,enjoyable time ! (I'LL BE BACK)
A challenging 9 hole cxourse
In it's day was a well maintained course that has potential, but has been let go, rough fairways and patchy greens
Nice course
Nice course, well maintained , staff was great. Can't wait to play this course again
Get what you Pay for and it was not much !
This is a 9 hole course I elected to play 18 holes on 10/14/2013 at 12:16 pm I teed off right behind a 5 some the course that day was really not that busy I would say moderately so in front of them was a 4 some first few holes went real slow, real slow the longer we played the slower it went it seemed and it did in the end it took 6 1/2 hrs. to play 18 holes and that's skipping 4 holes to try and get around the slow people , it seems they have a summer membership there that if you pay $250.00 you get to play unlimited golf just pay a cart fee of $20.00 and play all day and drink all day tell that by the beer cans laying all around the course ! The course itself is deplorable the fairways are if you can distinguish them from the rough because of the weeds are in real need of attention, the tee boxes are in real need of attention, the greens some were in decent shape but by no means nice by the meaning of a true green, I gave this a one star rating wish I could have went and gave it a 1/2 star but could not , the owners or owner really need to spend some money on this course as it could be a buried gem in the city Of New Albany,In
course is in great shape
had fun, good course.if you live around new albany area you must try this course.for the money.fon time
Good Track for a Quick 9 or 18...
The course seems to be getting better all of the time...the greens are starting to get pretty fast as well...give it a try.
Getting better.
Not back to its country club standard, but still a nice place to play 18 holes.
Always a fun course to play
I hadn't played N.A.S. for a couple of years and was pleased with the condition of the course, for the most part. Several of the holes require a well-placed tee shot in order to get a G.I.R., and that's the way it should be - reward for good play. The two members who "adopted" me for the round made for a great time - thanks Tom and Lee. If you haven't yet played N.A.S., go play it.
Very Nice Day of Golf
I play this course frequently. On my most recent visit, I ran into Cary the Owner, which it seems like he is always there. And he is always there working on improving the course. Was a perfect day for golf with great weather. Super friendly staff. Greens were all in good shape aside from #9, which is being redone. Had a temporary green for that one, which was in good shape. There are a couple of holes that can really challenge you, but if you are familiar with the course, you learn new ways to approach and defeat the holes. All in all, moderately challenging, but fun and in good shape. Play the Yellows, its more fun.
Hidden jewel
Played the course on Fathers Day. Great course,Great company. Staff was real friendly and the price was great as a golfnow hot tee time!! Course was in nice shape. Played with a control freak uncle who was even happy with the course!! If u get his approval your doing something!! NALBANY SPRINGS is a Hidden Jewel!!! Will be back soon
decent condition except for last green
You would expect a way below average course for only $14 or $15 but it was a very good value for the money. A few spots needed work, but overall a decent golf course
great value on golf now.com
we aren't straight hitter's, we lost a dozen balls, but the staff was great and we had a good time. we played best ball to keep up to the pace of play.
