The course was in the best condition I have seen it in during the past 3 years. Excellent work on the maintenance and a truly unique course to play.

nice course for the money. worth the hour drive to play some where different for us. the greens were a little bumpy, but over all not a bad course at all. I would play again.

I would give the fairways a 4 out of 5 and the greens 3 1/2 out of 5. Overall the course is in good condition but a few of the greens are a little bumpy. I feel that this course is a great value and I would recommend it to anyone.

This was the First time we ever played this course. We were treated as if this course was a high dollar establishment and the staff was very friendly and informative. Our clubs were picked up at the car and taken to our carts to start and cleaned after our round. The course is layed out very nice withe some nice views from the back tees. The course still needs a little TLC to get the greens and fairways to top notch condition. Once they do that this course will be a high dollar course. Play it now when you still can do it at a cheap price. Had a great time!

Course was in fine condition. Nice layout and greens rolled nicely. We played the blue tees but next time I may play the back tees.

Skybrook is a fun course to play, but the conditions are not nearly what they used to be. There are weeds throughout the fairways and the course is way too dry for this time of year. Seems there is not enough money to pay the water bill and not enough chemicals being used to kill simple weeds.

Troon golf has really improved the course. The greens are bumpy but compared to 3 weeks ago they much better. Fairways a bit thin but that has been the case in most places I have gone. This is a great layout and conditions are continuing to improve. Hopefully the greens can survive the upcoming heat. Great staff, everyone has been very helpful. Skybrook is on its way back.

I'd played this course some 4 years ago. It was in great shape then. Its in decent shape now. Course has so much potential. Very challenging course with your approach shots. Greens are the one issue that I found. They were a little bumpy but they where just airiated so to your own interpretation. Overall I enjoyed playing here.

After a 2 year hiatus from Skybrook due to worsening course conditions I decided to it another chance and I was not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and course conditions were greatly improved. The greens, bent grass I believe, could have been a little smoother but all in all rolled pretty consistently. I love the layout and will definitely be back. Hopefully the rest of the former Carolina Trail courses, minus Charlotte
Golf Links, will make similar comebacks .

The course was in amazing shapes a couple greens were a little bumpy but not bad at all that is the only issue I had other wise the staff was amazing and the course was challenging and fun!

Very picturesque challenging, need to have 'A' game and have a long game as well as short game . Would have preferred some shorter senior tees but may not be possible with course design and terrain.

Very friendly and welcoming but there was a long wait in between holes due to the amount of people playing. Would recommend but be aware that it will take 4 plus hours to play 18 holes.

greens need attention , the aeration got them too bumpy

I was a little disappointed with the greens. They were scored with numerous small dead patches. Perhaps in another month or 2 they will improve. Overall course condition is much improved from a year ago.

I had not played this course since it left the Carolina Trail so about 8 months ago. Though the traps now have sand and the overall mowing has improved the greens are slow and patchy in most areas kicking putts off line. I will not be back and would play one of the other former Carolina trail courses due to better green conditions.

Difficult to determine where fairway ends and rough begins. Greens did not roll true. They punched the greens four weeks ago but still had punch marks. I understand this course is under new management. They have a lot of work to do to bring this course back. First time playing here, I loved the layout of the course. I would like to play it again under better conditions, we'll see if management makes the necessary improvements. Good weather will help.

This course was the victim of a major rain event that hit the area all day & evening yesterday. With the grass still dormant & only a subtle spring so far, all tee boxes & fairways were soaked. The greens were recovering from aeration & patchy but playable. The design of most of the fairways are U-shaped so all of the water drains into the them in some manner. Most shots had to be moved from casual water. The round was over 5 hours due to cart paths only. Through no fault of its own, the course was in rough shape today.
That said, the course layout & design is intriguing & interesting. The elevation changes are dramatic as it weaves through the neighborhood & the fairway widths & size of the greens are generous. Under normal conditions, I would expect it to be an enjoyable course to play & I would love to play it again once warm weather arrives & the course dries out, like maybe June.
The course staff was very friendly & accommodating to us. I'm willing to give the course a mulligan due to the late spring & heavy rain. It certainly has the potential to be a winner.

The greens here were in terrible shape. Tee boxes too. Everything else was good for the most part but the greens were the worst I've ever played on truthfully. Never got a good roll. Ball bounced everywhere due to grass being very patchy. Tee boxes were more the same. Was my first time so I would hope they aren't this way all the time

Course has really gone downhill and I will not spend anymore money there. Fairway grass not good. Only good lies are in rough. Had aerated greens but patch holes everywhere besides that. Bunkers not consistant. Need a marshal to keep up pace of play. Played on a Monday and took over 43/4 hours for 2 people.

Good course , We played on a gorgeous day ,and we had a foursome. The greens had just bee aereated, so putting was dicey. Would like to play it again in about 6 weeks.
