Pace of place
Having played here many times we have never experienced a 5+ hours. This was the first time I ever called the pro shop to report slow play, they never sent a ranger to help correct this. The pros in front of us had the whole course backed up.. The staff was young and could use help with course management.
Stay away
This course was in very poor condition. Starting with the clubhouse. They could at least sweep the old leaves off the front steps. Terrible practice facility, crumbling cart paths and fairways covered in weeds. Greens were in good shape. Lousy experience.
My tound
Course waa pretty challenging but course signs for holes needs attention. Could not find certain holes. Played on a pretty hot day and there was no course cart service.
Great course and staff, need better yardage markings.
Way too slow!
The past three times I have been there, they have overbooked the course. There are always at least two foursomes waiting to tee off.
Ground hog day.
Same dog legs over and over. Feels like I played the same 375 yard dogleg left 7 times. The houses are very close, didn't feel comfortable hitting driver much.
Great track but terrible pace of play
The course layout here is very nice but the pace of play was absolutely horrid. I was a solo that paired up with 3 other gentleman who had excellent pace, but on hole 2 there was a foursome in play with 8 on the tee box waiting, and we were behind them. We also had two 4somes behind us. There should never be 6 groups of 4 on one hole. Other than the pace, the course was in good condition. Probably would not play again unless the tee times are more spaced apart.
Nice country club
The course was great. I started out on the West and the replay rate was so good , me and my 3 friends from Finland played the East course also It was a beautiful day of golf and fellowship!! The lunch at the 19th hole was excellent too!
Excellent for the money.
Second time playing here and it is great, we like to play first tee time to get the round done quick, and even though we had the 2nd tee time the group in front was very quick so people understand the pace of play, and the group behind never had to wait either.
On the other hand, the staff was good, the practice ball machine was not working but a kid open the top lid and just handed buckets to the people without counting just making it easy and good for everyone, that is good customer service, the starter had us on West course but said it was kind of packed so he said that if we wanted to tee off 10 mins before tee time we could go on east and have a faster round, and it happened just that. cart lady took a long time to come back around to us but overall good.
Needs management help...
Upon arrival, the course seemed pretty nice.. It had a nice clubhouse and helpful staff. We went to the first tee box and noticed there was no starter.. it was also difficult to find the first tee because there were no signs to direct us.
After teeing off... the pace of play was very difficult. We played 5 holes in 2 hours. If a ranger had been on the course he/she could have helped the pace. We had people hitting into us (I am sure out of frustration) and the course was jammed... several groups on the 6th tee box forced us to make the decision to leave the course and not finish our round.
When we left the course I called back to find out what the problem was.. why was the play SO slow. The clubhouse told me that they had an hour fog delay in the morning and that there was an outing that filled the course as well. They apologized for the delay but offered no explanation as to why there was not a ranger on the course or why the clubhouse did not let players know the course would be playing slow... It was apparent that the clubhouse was not aware of the
backups that made play literally intolerable.
I also valeted my car and found they had parked it in a field of dirt and grass? instead of the paved parking lot where all the other cars were. I am not sure why, but I was not pleased by that protocol as well.
In short, the course is OK, but unless it is better managed I would not recommend playing it.
Good afternoon
Wait a long time for supply of carts is short.
Teeing grounds need better maintenance, also some spots in fairways. Overall conditions fair.
Are we the only ones who use their pitchmarks?
For the rest a very enjoyable afternoon.
Sunday on Woodlands West
Good bargain. Only negative was pace of play. Having a ranger on the course would have helped that.
Avg Course... worth $60
Course has a VERY solid layout with average greens and course conditions. Your standard public course. If course conditions were prime this would be a 5 star course. Needless to say, the conditions were not awful.
Golf in south Florida
Decent course. Food and drink service needs improvement. Cart never showed up in all of 18 holes.
Nice surprise
Nice layout with plenty of doglegs for the challenge. Fairways and greens in good shape; tee boxes needed some work. Staff very nice and patient despite a very busy Saturday morning. No GPS on carts, but not much of a problem since I was grouped with a local threesome. Nice round for sure and I will pay another visit.
Great value for money
This course has a good layout with several very interesting holes, course is in reasonable condition.
I would not hesitate to play this course for the price.
enjoyable round
The course is in nice shape but for my age and lack of ability I found the white tees to be a little too long. Yellow tee more suitable to avg golfers where you do not have a long drive and tend to get a little off line.
