Lacombe Golf and Country Club
About
Lacombe Golf & Country Club opened in 1925, but the site has roots in golf that date back even further to 1910 when golfers would use the former cow and sheep pasture to hit balls. It has undergone many changes over the years but the layout still retains its classic character. The golf course is situated along the PEII, midway between Calgary and Edmonton. The par-71 layout is routed through dense groves of mature, towering trees. They loom above the fairways and provide a backdrop for nearly every hole. When the trees are combined with the golf course's small, undulating greens, the layout becomes a true test of your accuracy. In addition to the golf course, Lacombe also offers a driving range and a practice putting green with a bunker.

Lots of winter kill
Hole 1 was closed, green was to bad to use. They are doing a lot of repair work on sand traps and greens. Course should be quite good in the next 2 to 3 weeks with some nice weather!!!
Thanks for the 3-star review and taking the time to share your feedback with us. We appreciate your patience & understanding as we work to get the course in its best condition, but we hope you still enjoyed your day with us at Lacombe Golf & Country Club. We look forward to having you back again soon! #GolfLacombe
Fun Course to play
Always a challenge and fun to play. Unfortunately the greens suffered substantial damage from the winter but should improve later in the season.
Lots of challenging holes and worth playing
Thanks for the 4-star review and great feedback on the challenge of the course. We appreciate your patience & understanding as our staff works towards more improvements on our greens, but we're looking forward to a great golf season ahead. Join us for another round at Lacombe Golf & Country Club again soon! #GolfLacombe
The course seemingly didn't winter well, despite the fact that we didn't get a whole lot of snow over winter. The cool weather to this point has done nothing for the winter kill on the greens.
Overall, it's an enjoyable course with some tough par 3's.
First time there and would go back again. From Tee to Greens it was is excellent condition. Off the Blue tees the course shows its teeth on the back 9 with challenging Par 4's and long Par 3's. Highly recommend it. Course wasn't busy at all for a Sun. and disappointed they made us wait to honor our Hot Deal Tee-time, didn't get the logic of that.
Good Time
THe course is in good shape.... challenging, varied and fun.
Great course
A challenging but great course, could’ve have used a Marshall to keep the pace of place. Overall a fantastic course.
Course is nice
This course has a good layout. Great pace of play. The tee boxes could use some work to flaten them out and water them. Greens are in decent shape. Love to use golf now to play this course.
Winter Conditions
Still in winter conditions - greens & tee boxes still need to get up to summer conditions. Little disappointed in the condition of the greens for this time of year. Would wait a few more weeks before going back to this course for the conditions to improve.
Nice cours
Green fast fairway are getting better, had a great time!!!
