Greens were in excellent shape. Sand traps need some maintenance, don’t like all the dog legs and definitely don’t like trees in the middle of the fairway
Dog legs
The greens were in excellent shape and the course is maintained well. Still some dead trees need to be cleaned up.
The course has too many dog legs for me and I don’t like trees located in the middle of the fairways.
Middle of the road
Great job from them keeping the coarse playable right after the huge storm. But aside from the storm damage the coarse isn't in the best shape and although it's not most expensive track, it really should be better then it is.
I think they could benefit by fixing it up and adding some real signature holes, because right now there just isn't anything memorable there at the moment except a lot of blind landing areas.
Positive were, staff was really good and pace of play was great.
Bunker sucks
Like this course layout and challening set ups. Played on a very windy day. Staffs are very friendly.
Bunkers sucks I suspect it is filled with soil not sand.
tight, not long.... but tough
course conditions little better than average... fun track. hard off the tee.... tough approach shots into greens
Spring Awakening
Had a great early season round on Lakeland, and Homestead on Monday. Greens were in absolutely awesome condition. I was shocked how good they were. Fairways and green collars need to grow a bit, but April/May has not provided the required heat to date.and they will come around...There were certainly some wet spots in the low areas. All said two thumbs up for May 9
Not Bad For a First Time
Nice course, nice layout. My wife and I were golfing as a pair with a power cart (a gift for Mother's Day) and upon our check in with the starter we were told we were matched up with a single golfer (walking). Never have I had this kind of pairing. We were not able to detach ourselves from them either as there were players ahead and behind us. This greatly slowed our afternoon, luckily it did not affect the plans we had afterwards and were able to finish our round. But really made for a stressful afternoon. Also there were no on-course amenities (snacks and/or drinks) and no mention of this on the website or at check in. Would love to return, but as it's only my wife and I, I'm not keen on being paired up with strangers, especially those walking while we drive and have to wait.
first round of the year
Course was in decent shape given they has=d just opened 3 days prior...as always great track needs bunker sand
