Great value for a nice little track
This was the third time I've played the course and it was as enjoyable as the previous two. It's a very forgiving course with wide fairways and good sized greens. Although the greens have some challenge to them because of undulations. Also a fair bit of water around. Also, unlike most courses, the bunkers had proper sand in them which made them playable. Long hitters will find it a little short as I had a lot of wedges into greens. The course was in great shape as always. Previous times I played we finished in 3 hours as a twosome but this time it was a bit slower since it was a bit busier. Overall it was great experience and would definitely play again.

Great Doug Carrick design course
I really like this. First time play here but every hole has very impressive as Carrick designed who designed Eagle Nest, Muskoka Bay, Copper Creek and we paid only $50 cart included. Thank you for GolfNow and Ballantrae.
We enjoyed playing every hole . And the challenging parts are working around and inside the green, it will surprise you.

course condition is great, carts comes with GPS, bunker might needs some more sand.
It's been a while
It has been about 7 years since we visited this course. I feel bad it has taken so long to get back. This is an amazing course! This course rivals and in most cases it is better than most club link course. For the value it is second to none and the staff have the course in tremendous shape. I visited this time with a former member of the board of trade and he wants to play here everyday and that says something. Go play a round and you will not be disappointed.
Well manicured
Course conditions were very good. Fairways, tees and greens in great shape. Pace of play was also very good. Layout is excellent and the course is relatively flat so very walkable. The food on the course was not very good, stale hot dog buns and poor quality bread used for sandwiches.
Great course, friendly staff.....pack a lunch.
Rained but still playable and enjoyed
Even though the rain was not going to stop, decided to play a quick round at Ballantrae GC and enjoyed having the course to myself. Light drizzle throughout the 2 hours it took to finish. Originally booked for 2:44pm, but ended up getting out at 1:30pm. Love this course, play a quite a bit throughout the season. Staff are great and friendly. Conditions were also great for May. Go play!
Excellent course
Excellent course and very challenging
Greens okay but not the greatest condition. I've seen the greens in better conditions
Exceptional Conditioning; Fantastic, True Greens
Braved the elements and played Saturday, October 22nd. It was cold and quite windy but my reception from the pro shop was warm and I was allowed out early ahead of the foursome who had just checked in.
The course conditioning is stellar, the greens are true and fast. Really liked them. Fairways are wide and generous. There are some real nice holes; the course reminiscent of play down South as there are a number of houses surrounding the perimeter.
Was lucky enough to stay out of the bunkers; they looked hard but I would chock that up to Fall golf conditions.
I played via a Hot deal on Golfnow and I am glad I did. For the rack rate charged here; there are better options in the area. Having said that; I enjoyed the day here feeling like I had the course to myself; golf as it should be! On a Saturday...thx Mr Weatherman.
