Great Course
We love playing at this course. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. Course is in great shape!!
Great condition
This course is in excellent shape. Their greens were a bit slow, but great condition. Fairways were perfect. This course has a lot of walkers, great for those that do, but slow paced. The layout is very nice n challenging. A little bit of everything for every type of golfer.
Great course
Great course, fun, challenging, all around good condition.
Really Nice Course
Nice course. I played just the back nine, but I will definitely play a full 18 when I come back..
Dittos a Good Course
If it were not for the golf pro not letting off as we agreed on the, then almost not letting a group off before us at the twilight rate, despite us not only having reservation and being there first.
My playing partner and I believe it was because my playing partner thumped him so bad on the front 9 he got up and quit, a few years ago.
But the one saving grace for the course is that guy is quitting (or so he says).
But hurry! The course will be closing soon for renovation.
Good value
As a beginner i found the course to be fun and forgiving. Had fun.
Great Value
I haven't played this course in almost 30 years. I regret not playing there more. I understand this course may be going thru some renovations. The clubhouse could use expansion. The course was in great shape. I even managed to get a couple birdies. Hole 15 is a 1 handicap for a reason. Everything draws right towards a drainage ditch and very rocky. Our Texas summers can really play havoc on golf courses. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great shape. I will be back and bring my usual golf buddies.
Very good value for the money
The weather has been extremely hot and dry but this course was in great shape. A couple of the greens were very dry but all playable. We had a great time.
A good municipal course
This course has nice fairways, and I found the sand and lakes to be enticing. I enjoyed the quiet serenity of walking through the woods as I was looking for my ball. The greens were lush and true, as I noticed when I got to go from side to side chasing my ball.
I enjoy this course and you will too!
Wonderful but a challenging course
One of the most nices courses in Arlington. Pace of play was good and the greens were in nice condition even though it's been hot and dry.. Will always recommend this course to others
Good golf
Great, fun 18 holes of golf. Good pace and nice course.
This course is awesome
If you golfers want to play a top of the list golf course in the Metroplex , don't wait , play it now . I have played several Country Clubs in the DFW area that aren't as nice as this little gem ! The fairways are a golfers dream to hit off of . Trimmed and mowed to perfection and the rough was even nice to hit from . The greens were ok but not as nice as they could be . If they were , it would be hard getting a tee time here !!! An absolute must play golf course !!!!!!!!
First time rounding
This course looks old but it has good management.
It also makes me want to go again.
STILL A GREAT HIDDEN GEM
this is a fun layout that is easy to get to and a good value. i last played the course in 1989 when i lived in the area. it has grown in nicely and the city does a nice job maintaining it. it was fun to play it again
Hidden Gem in Arlington
How did I not know about this course! I have played many rounds in the DFW area but somehow overlooked Ditto in Arlington. This public course is in a well manicured state. Staff very friendly. Pace of Play just right. Green fee just right. I recommend this course and will also place a review on Trip Advisor. You have to play here. I will play here again!!
Good course
This was a good course. The greens and fairways were in excellent condition however, the greens were very slow.
Take advantage
Chester Ditto GC, better play it before it gets it's $16 million dollar renovation from City of Arlington, play a piece of Arlington history before it's changed!
Ditto is Consistent
Chester W. Ditto is a City of Arlington muni tucked in the neighborhood near Collins and Brown Streets. Over the years I have played Chester W. Ditto many times and it never really WOW's nor disappoints. There are holes that are wide open and there are holes that are extremely tight. Let's put it this way, you have to hit a shot at times during the round. I play Ditto because it's kind of close to work and it's never really crowded. With it tucked in the neighborhood you could call it your good old neighborhood course. With the rains this Summer in North Texas the course is in good shape. My only complaint is that the greens seem to always be slow, but past that it's a good standby any time.
course conditions
I played this course several months ago and the greens were in fairly bad shape. Cudos to the staff for getting the greens in much better shape. As always this course is one of the nicest munies that I play.
Fair to average in all ways
Fairways and greens were fair to good. Staff was professional and friendly. Older crowd so the pace of play was slow most of the round. We had a threesome which kept us waiting to hit shots. The group ahead of us fell a hole and a half behind and without a marshall to keep them in step with the group ahead.
