Have a group that golfs every 3rd week of Sept for years and have travelled to Phoenix, Southern Ontario, Ottawa area, and this year we tried Muskokas. Heard about Tangle Creek from friends, Score magazine, all good reviews. I can tell you that we have done about 50+ different courses in our travels and this is by far the worse one in terms of service. First of all, we asked for a replay 3 weeks prior and was told that there would be no problem, when we checked in they told us we couldn't play our second game until 3:30, after teeing off at 8 AM. Secondly, they overbooked the course with a local high school tournament with 80+ golfers and they had all a shotgun start at 9:00 Am, when both members and green fee players where still on the course. (even the members weren't told about the tournament). After lunch, (great service by restaurant staff), the person in the pro shop said to people coming in that they where 20 minutes behind and when they got to the tee off spot they were 1 hour behind. How can you continue to accept green fees from people when you know full well they won't be able to get their full round in. Only saving grace was the friendly starter Dan...

Course was in great condition, some aeration work was done on a few of the greens, but did not have too big an effect on play. Looking forward to playing again.

I've played this course many times over the years, and I really enjoyed it for the first time this year. Living in the heart of the city the only knock I can give it is the drive. But well worth it. Teed off on time they teamed us up with 2 singles, who were great guys, and we had fun. Greens were marbly but smooth, fast, and true. First few greens were recently punched and sanded with no effect. Bunkers were in real good shape, enough sand, which seems to be a problem in many courses.Pace was swift on the from in just over 2 hours, but the back got a little slow closer to 2.5. But it was a gorgeous day and had a great time.

Change in elevation makes this course fun to play and the undulating greens are challenging. Good value for the money.

First time playing this year great shape good bang for your buck nothing but good things to say!!

My wife and I played this course for the first time. Rich the started was very friendly and assistful. We were paired with 2 gents that played the course before. They helped us navigated around the course, especially on those holes that had blind tee shoots. Carts had built in GPS which also helped. We enjoyed our round immensely and will likely return next time we are in the area.

Always one of my favourite courses to play , but tee off was almost a 30 minute delay and over 5 hours to finish

Glad I found this course in my area will become a regular go too.

My wife and I played this course for the first time. I have to say the course was in pretty good shape. The greens rolled true and fast (I'm guessing 11 on the stimp meter). Lots of undulation. Course is laid out nicely however there are a few blind tee shots. Luckily Rich the started paired us up with a couple of guys that have played here before and they helped us tremendously. We played from the blacks (6100+ yards). I was comfortable there but could play from the golds next time. Most par 5's are reachable in 2 from the blacks with decent tee shots. Bigger than normal greens. Clubhouse/ pro shop very nice. Beverage/ food a bit pricey. Overall...a very nice and challenging course with excellent service.

Ive been playing this course since it opened, loved it from my first round.

It became popular quickly which eventually priced me out.

I play here 2 or 3 times a season as a treat.

I was sooooo disappointed from the 1st green onwards. To have a spectacular layout like this spoiled by destroyed greens is truly a shame.

I'm no "head greenskeeper" but its obvious.

Hope they get it back because I just love this course.

Liked the course layout. Beautiful views from several spots throughout. Good practice area although a lot of the tee deck was off limits for pro lesson space, crowding users to one end. Lots of up and downhill shots with a couple blind tee shots but good info on the cart gps to guide us. Greens are tricky, hilly and fast. Turf was browning out on several areas making the greens even more slick. Tees , fairways and traps all well maintained. Nice clubhouse, and beverage cart made the rounds often on this 33C day. Will go back again.

Course is beautiful and challenge. We had the pleasure of player with 2 members us with the tricks of the course. GPS and usb connections in the cart.

We decided to risk it and book a tee time here. We were happy as the rain quit just when we started and didn't start again until we finished up. It was a fun day but a little soggy which was to be expected due to all the recent rains. We will be back

Course was great,our tee off times was delayed by about 15 mins ,wasn't enough keys for all the Carts.5 hours and 30 mins for the round .Hopefully next time there we can shave off an hour
