Great value with two completely different nine holes.
Fantastic course with great scenery for a terrific price. Plates at a great pace on Sunday with no overbooking like many courses today. Front nine links style with the back nine reminding me of the courses in Brainerd. Enjoyed my round with friends.
Awesome looking but extremely challenging course
This course was so much fun to play but it is not for the average golfer. It plays long and there are some very narrow fairways on the back nine. You have to really play straight but regardless of how you play, you'll love the looks and scenery of practically every hole. I would certainly play it again.
Great Track
Front 9 is well manicured and moderately difficult. The back 9 is beautiful and challenging. Great track!!! It is a treat to play this course.
Course was in great condition
I love this course it has a lots of elevation changes and is always in great shape
Get your birdies early because the back nine is a beast!!!
Great layout amazing views and i hit the longest drive of my life on hole 13...150 yards in!!!
The middle three holes on the back nine are breath-taking
For the most part the greens were pretty fast, but fair. Holes 13, 14 and 15 are like riding a roller coaster while playing some very challenging golf at the same time.
This course is truly one of Minnesotas best courses in the south metro! It's set up is fun yet challenging for any level golfer.
This is one of my favorite courses in the state! The price through golfnow really makes it worth the travel south of the metro. The staff are extremely friendly and the course is pristine! I really enjoy having the layout challenge every aspect of my game. I would recommend this course to everyone!
Course was in fabulous shape!
It was great to finally arrive at a course this year where every hole was in great shape. I mean from tee box to greens. The front nine plays pretty much straight forward to loosen you up for the back nine. Back nine has a lot more height elevation shots which is a lot of fun but can be tricky.
Recommend playing this course!
Beautiful back 9
Great course with a more open layout the fist 11 holes then to a beautiful, challenging rest of the way with 3 very elivated tee boxes. The course has always been in good shape with fair green fees.
great condition, and the right amount of challenge!
The Summit will be a regular stop for me from now on! Beautifully maintained, friendly staff, amazing views on the back 9, and the right amount of challenge! My first visit won't be my last!
Best Deal in Twin Cities
I love this course, and haven't had a bad experience here, and have played over 20 times in last two years. Course is in great shape, and has greens that roll true. If you haven't been out to the Summit, you're in for a REAL TREAT!
Best fairways and greens I've played this year.
Best fairways and greens I've played this year. All the staff was very friendly. The front nine is more open, so if it is windy you really have to work for par. Carts allowed on most holes unless they have work going on, this means alot to me and the guys I play with. I love playing this course because it's just a course with no hugh homes surrounding it, it's challenging, and great fairways for the money.
No yardage markers at tee box, no gps, hard to find the 200 & 100 yard markers. Stock up on cold water and beverages before heading out. No water on course, no beverage cart.
Course is in great condition.
Greens are fast, fairway are in outstanding shape.
Great fairway and green conditions.
Challenging holes with no two alike which is great. Great fun to play if you hit a straight ball. All kinds of issues if you tend to spray the ball. Best greens played so far this year with healthy grass and good speed.
Nice layout with beautiful elevation changes, great conditions and some wicked tough par three's from the back tees. Make sure to bring water with you as the course is lacking any.
Excellent value, great shape
I can't believe more people don't play this course. Maybe because a bit south of the cities? The Hot Deals are out of this world for this course and I highly recommend playing it with a hot deal. Even without a hot deal, the value is still excellent. The course is always in good shape and I've played it a few times. Even with the residual winter kill that we've had this year, they still keep the course is good shape.
The course is a mixture of links style and traditonal tree-lined golf. The back nine is considerably more challenging than the front nine, starting with a longish par 3 on hole 11. It's never really crowded there but it slows down on the back. Great course
excellent value
The staff was friendly and very helpful for someone playing the course first time.
The course is well laid out with some very interesting holes on the back side. I would highly recommend this to anyone willing to
travel a few miles from the Twin Cities and have an enjoyable
golf experience.
Hidden Gem
The course is challenging, scenic, and enjoyable and it is NOT surrounded by homes, which is a huge plus in my mind. Both nines have a good variety of hole designs and scenery. The conditions were great, and even though it was an hour drive for me, I will likely golf here again soon.
Awesome - great course!!
Great deal...excellent value. Well laid out course, immaculately maintained. Final 6 holes are challenging and unique. Easily one of the best courses I have played in the south metro area. A hidden gem of a course.
This is my first time playing The Summit. It is now one of my top three favorite courses in the Twin Cities area!
The course is bent grass from tee to green. It weathered the long winter in excellent condition. This is a truly great track. It plays like a links course on the front, and a beautiful traditional course on the back. It has a number of holes that present a real challenge even to the above average golfer, but a variety that makes a round of golf fun for players at most any level. Definitely one of my new favorites.
Solid Course
Solid Course, back 9 is the main attraction to the course. Great elevation changes with lime stone in the tee box area.
